I made my way back to the pack house. If I was staying for a while I would need to discuss it with Jack.

I came in through the front door, not wanting to interfere with the love fest still going on in the kitchen with the new guy.

I went to Jack's office and got the courage up to knock on the mahogany door. When I knocked three sharp knocks I heard Jack's unfriendly voice say, "Come in."

I opened the door and slid inside. I saw Jack lift his head and stare at me in suprise.

"Take a seat." He told me and for once I listened because if I wanted to stay I had to show him that I would follow him, or at least not fight him on every small thing.

Suspicion covered his face as I sat clearly knowing something was up.

"Yes?" He asked me when I didn't say anything for a moment.

I cleared my throat and digged my fingernails into my thumb, nervous habit. "Well I can leave as early as two days from now."

Jack noded, "Is that all?"

"No. I've been thinking... what if I didn't leave in two days. What if I stayed longer." I said carefully reading his expression, but like mine, his stayed blank. "Look I'm a good fighter, and I'm being modest. If I ever get captured I won't spill the beans on anything because torture doesn't bother me as much as it would other people if I know people are coming for me. I hold no guilt for killing people who need to be killed and..." I said strong and fast leaving no room for him to interrupt me, but at the end I chickened out.

"And?" Jack rose his eyebrow.

I took a deep breath, "I like it here."

Jack leaned back in his chair. "Fine." I let go of the breath I was holding. "If," There was always an if. "You answer my questions, no beating around the bush."

I leaned closer, "Fine but you only get five questions." This seemed to make him a little mad. "And if this never leaves the room, you will never see me again." I told him in a deadly tone.

"Ok." He shrugged.

"I'm serious it will be like I died all over again only this time I won't be coming back to life." I told him.

This caught his attention. "Who are you?"

"Promise me you won't tell anybody." I said wanting to hear the words.

"I give you my word." He said and from the look in his eyes I could tell his word was golden.

I leaned back in my chair. "My name is Dodge. But you may better know me as Dodge West, the girl who was kidnapped and later perished in a fire." I said.

Jack's face went from confusion to suprise. He super sped to me and grabbed me in a choke hold. "Don't lie to me. This isn't funny and if you keep it up I'll snap your neck." He growled.

"Look I'm not lieing. But this Alpha bullshit is starting to piss me off." I took his hand that was choking me and pushed a pressure point in his arm making it go slack.

Jack started to panic but I rolled my eyes. "Don't worry it will wake up in a minute just get off your high horse."

He huffed and sat back in his chair. "Prove it."

"Prove that your arm will wake up? Well if you just wai-" I started to tell him but he cut me off.

"No!" He yelled. "That you are who you say you are."

"Why would I still be here if humans who did this to me," I pulled up my sleeve showing my scars and pointing to my scar on neck. "Were trying to get me back after I just escaped, to save somebody I didn't know. Why would they even want them?" I answered him.
