The first mistake Thanos made was assuming the Krylorian child was a girl.
When the Mad Titan arrived on Krylor, it was not to wipe out half the planet, but to fulfill a deal with the Collector—a fresh Krylorian for his twisted menagerie. Selecting a delicate, soft-featured child, he slaughtered the parents, believing the job done. But when the child fought back, lashing out with powerful telepathy, telekinesis, and empathy, Thanos saw something far more valuable than just another of the Collector's prizes. This was no ordinary Krylorian.
Intrigued, he took the child for himself, later discovering that the beautiful, seemingly fragile girl was actually a boy. Thanos named him Lian and raised him as his own—however, not through cybernetic enhancements like Gamora or Nebula, but as something more insidious: a weapon hiding behind an innocent face. A ghost. A shadow. A killer.
