Gabriel Reyes didn't expect to be thrust into the social maze of Forks High, especially when the last thing he wanted was to get tangled in a rivalry. But from the moment he accidentally takes the seat that "belongs" to Henry Cullen, everything changes.

Henry Cullen, a picture-perfect member of the Cullen family, is used to people stepping aside for him, to everyone falling into line around him. His charm, his looks, his Tactile Hypnosis—they've always made life easy. But Gabriel isn't one to bend to anyone's will. When Henry tries to use his power to get Gabriel to move, he's met with surprising resistance. For the first time, Henry encounters someone who isn't captivated by him, and it irks him more than he can admit.

Gabriel isn't impressed by Henry's carefully crafted exterior. To him, Henry is just another arrogant, self-absorbed rich kid who thinks he can control the world around him with his smile and his powers.
