Leo Luna never thought he'd see Clark Kent again. As kids growing up in Smallville, they were inseparable—until Leo's family moved to Metropolis, leaving their friendship behind. Now, five years later, Leo is a rising journalist at the Daily Planet, determined to prove himself in the fast-paced world of reporting. The last thing he expects is for Clark to walk through the newsroom doors, newly hired and looking just as kind, awkward, and unfairly handsome as Leo remembers. As they reconnect, their friendship reignites, slow and familiar, but with an undercurrent of something deeper—something Leo doesn't quite have the courage to name.

At the same time, a new mystery shakes Metropolis: a hidden alien ship, a godlike figure performing impossible feats, and a city teetering on the edge of history. Leo is assigned to cover the story, and the more he learns about Superman, the more fascinated—and drawn—to him he becomes. Torn between his feelings for the quiet, dependable Clark and the awe-inspiring hero who seems just out of reach, Leo is caught in a love triangle with only two people.
