In 2003, Zayn Fouad was a constant presence in the Miller household—an easygoing, sharp-eyed 18-year-old who watched over Sarah when Joel worked late, traded stories with Tommy over beers, and found quiet comfort in the family he never realized meant so much. Until it was too late.
