Unorthodox

I lay in my bed-freezing. I'm piled with blankets even though it's summer. The midnight breeze flows in through the open window, which would normally give me a silent peace that lulls me into sleep. It makes me shiver and tremble giving me a feeling of insecurity. It makes me believe I'm an awful person. An Air weilder fearing the wind. Aussie covers me with his wings. Making me terrified of thinking I might not love him next. I stroke him gently and he whimpers.
"What's happening to me Aussie?"
A tear rolls down my cheek, soaking into the skin I jump up abruptly, pacing for a moment getting my brain together and getting an impulse to move. I run to the window, the moon is still high with no intention of dropping anytime soon. I close it and throw on a sweater I stole from my older brother. I sneak out of my room and gently close my door. Aussie seems to understand and glues himself to my side. I pause in front of the water. The embers emit warmth, soothing my skin.
"Seirra?" I call. A head peers out from the bundle of blankets on the coach.
"What are you doing out here?" We both say in unison. Her red hair is mated and in knots. There's a pimple on her forehead and her nail polish is chipped.
"I was feeling restless. The fire calms me down" She says with a peaceful yawn. I tell her I'm retless too and make an escape for the door. My feet are bare on the cold stone. Aussies claws click in step with me. I find myself in the main cave. Never has it been so empty. My footsteps echo off the walls. The booth in the center is clear and tables and chairs are stacked neatly next to it. I pause for a moment, realizing if I was a true Air nomad I would have an unstoppable impulse to throw myself into the air and fly circles around Aussie. Much like I did the first time I met Killijan. I give a ragged sigh, because all I want to do right now is be submerged in the baths of the water weilders.
