[C H A P T E R N I N E T E E N - EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED]
cw: mention of violence

WAKING UP IN In-ho's arms had been the best feeling since she had left the games. Suki had never been so certain about where she belonged as her mind recalled the events of last night. He was so gentle with her, so loving. And she had enjoyed every second.

A gentle sunlight crept through the window as she looked next to her, him still fast asleep. It made a change being the first awake and she was going to use it to her advantage. She slipped out of his bed gently, putting her clothes back on as she left the bedroom, heading to the kitchen.

It took her a while to find everything she needed, but she gathered all the ingredients to make hotteok. She was no expert cook, but this was her top comfort food and she remembered how they were served almost every morning in the games. She tried her best to be quiet as she added the ingredients to a bowl, setting the dough to rise for as long as possible as she made her filling. She grabbed her phone from the living room, realising she had left it there last night and checked the time. It wasn't even 7 o'clock. She scrolled through her notifications.

7 missed calls and 14 texts from Daehyun.

And that's when she finally had the strength to do it. Heading to his contact information she clicked the block button, his number disappearing from her phone for good. It was about time.

She took the dough out from proving as she added her filling, before cooking them in the frying pan. The kitchen filling with a sweet aroma as she plated up the pancakes, setting them out on the table. Suddenly she saw him enter the kitchen, half asleep as he brought her in for a hug, pressing his lips to her cheek. "Good morning, Suki." She had never felt more warmth than she did right now. A simple gesture meant to much to her.

"Good morning sleepy head. I made us some breakfast." She pointed to the dishes on the table, reaching up to give him a light kiss. "I hope you like hotteok."

"Suki —" he paused for a moment as he looked between the table and her. "Hotteok is my favourite breakfast. There's a reason why it was served every morning." He chuckled. "I didn't think it was possible to like you any more than I already do but this is practically marriage material."

"I'll have to make you breakfast more often then." She winked, sitting down at the table as he followed.

"Absolutely yes." He spoke as he tucked into the food. "What are your plans for today?" He asked her.
