YOUNG-IL'S POV
HER WORDS ECHOED in his mind over and over again as he was completely distracted by her. "I certainly don't like it when people lie to me so it's the least I can do" Don't. like. it. when. people. lie. to. me. He had done just that. Guilt crept through him as it finally hit him. He would lose his Suki for good. He couldn't change the real him. The him she didn't know. It was this life or her. And he wanted to choose her so badly.
But reality hit him as they walked down the familiar staircase towards the management area. He knew they were going that way. He had walked these same staircases for years to the control room, game rooms and his living quarters. He knew the place like the back of his hand. They were after one thing - the person who controlled the game. But that person was him. Seo-jun could only do so much to assist the games, but all orders came from him. And he needed to lead them on a false trail.
He didn't want to have to reveal himself as the frontman yet. He wasn't ready to let Suki go. She wouldn't accept a person like that. She deserved better than him.
"All players, it is bedtime now. Please return to your quarters immediately. Otherwise, you will be eliminated from the game." The tannoy sounded as they walked further up the stairs. He looked behind him, hoping to see Suki, but she had listened to him. She was out of trouble, out of the danger that lay ahead of them. He never expected the special game to get this out of hand. It was Gi-hun who took the speaker out with a few shots of his gun.
But that's when the first three guards began to shoot as Gi-hun screamed for them to get down, bullets narrowly missing them. And it was the first time in his career as the frontman that he questioned whether he would survive his own game.

SUKI'S POV
Suki paced back and forth in the dormitory as she couldn't keep herself still. Every second that passed felt like an eternity as she hoped Young-il would come back through the door, his arms wide open for her.
"Suki, come and sit down." Jun-hee called as she gathered on a bed with player 333. But she shook her head, her heart racing. She couldn't rest knowing that he was out there. It was dangerous, unsafe. And he had walked out into the crossfire without her.
"Suki, please. You'll make yourself sick. Just come and sit down for five minutes at least." Player 149 walked over to her, taking her hand. Suki's eyes welled with tears as she nodded. The old lady, who introduced herself as Geum-ja, led Suki back to their bed as she took a seat. "I know how much he means to you but you cannot stress like that. It isn't good for you. You need to breathe." Jun-hee took her other hand as she breathed in and out, trying her best to relax as her eyes drifted closed.
