"And you know this how?" She breathed, wiping a ball of sweat from her forehead.
He gulped. "I used to be a police officer." He chuckled. "There's still a lot you don't know about me, Suki." He got up again, shooting towards the guards by Gi-hun as he had managed to grab his own gun. The majority of the guards were now dead on the floor as players began to take more and more down. Suki turned around behind them as she shot at a hidden guard, the body hitting the floor with a loud thud as she crawled over to grab the gun he had. Adrenaline was rushing through her body as she realised what she had done. She hadn't just killed one person tonight, but two.
"You'll have to tell me everything when we get out of here..." she pointed her gun upwards, letting her mind take control of the trigger as she pulled it backwards several times in a row, the bangs echoing around her. "Alive." She ducked back down. The sound of bullets hitting the walls and beds echoed around her, the gunshots becoming louder and louder as guards made their way under beds to get to their targets.
"That I will, Suki. I'll tell you everything." It was his turn to take down another guard as he lowered himself to the side of the bed, shooting across to a guard that had hidden between two beds. "Dinner and drinks are on me." He shot again as she got up to join him, looking at the current situation. The sea of red guards scattered across the floor in their own crimson, players amongst them deceased as nobody could help them. It was the storm she had waited for.
"Come on now, let a lady treat you for once." She teased him as she sat back down behind the mattress, taking a hair tie from her wrist and throwing her hair back into a messy bun. "God, you better make it out of here alive." She said breathlessly as she spotted another guard aiming for Gi-hun and Jung-bae, one precise shot heading his way.
"Now where did you learn to shoot?" He tilted his head as they shuffled closer to each other, in the clear for now.
"I don't know what I'm doing. I've never held a gun in my life." Her eyes went wide as he chuckled. Her face was easily readable as she diverted her eyes.
"You're a bit too good. Almost perfect with that aim actually." He raised an eyebrow at her. "You're lying."
"I'm not! There is no way I would know how to shoot." She held up her hands mockingly. But she was lying.
His mind thought for a moment. And then he had seen right through her. "You said you trained as a nurse, right. Where was that?" His lip curled into a smile.
"Oh, erm..." she paused for a second, scratching the back of her neck.
"I got you, right! You weren't just a nurse." He smirked as she nodded. She was easy to read. Or he had certainly seen this information about her elsewhere.
"Fine, you got me. I was in the military for almost two years. It really wasn't for me, the active duty, so I decided to just be a nurse in the military instead and completely retrained. I left voluntarily after a while when..." he had shot at another guard. "When..."
"When you met that piece of trash?" She nodded, he took the words out of her mouth. And suddenly it explained everything. The way she reacted to things, the way she looked after others, the way she just wanted a better life. She was traumatised and her boyfriend had not helped with that. "Suki, you should have said."
