My Light in the Darkness

When I woke up, the sun wasn't shinning in my face. Which was quite sad as the sun waking me up in the morning was the only good thing in life at the moment.

I stood up and looked out the window. Clouds covered the sky and rain was falling down. Great! The weather matches my mood.

With all of this craziness happening I feel as if nothing could get worse. Alex being recruited, Sean dying, the school closing, Alex being tested on and possibly dead, Eric being arrested and put in jail, Charles overdosing, it was all too much!

I walked out of my room and went to Hank's room.

I knocked on the door. There was no answer.
"Hank?" I called. Still nothing.

I ran to the lab. He wasn't there.

I ran to every single room. He wasn't anywhere to be found.

"Charles!" I yelled.
"What?" Charles asked walking out of the kitchen.
"Have you seen Hank? I can't find him." I asked.
"No." He said. "He's somewhere."

I sat on the table by the front door under the chandelier, freaking out. Where was Hank?? Where in the world could he be?!

Then the front door opened in front of me.
"Hank!" I yelled. Running towards him and hugging him.
"I was so worried!" I said.
"Relax. I just went to the shop!" Hank smiled.
"Why? We never go to the Shop." I asked.
"I'll tell you later! Stay here." Hank smiled walking away into the kitchen.

About an hour later Hank came out of the kitchen.
"Okay, put this blindfold on!" Hank smiled, helping me put the blindfold on.
"Okay?" I said confused.

He walked me into the kitchen and stopped me.
"Happy Birthday!!!!!" Hank yelled removing my blindfold.
"It has been two years since we adopted you when you were thirteen and although you don't age, we can still celebrate your birth." Hank said.

(Authors note! After a while I realized I couldn't write a story containing all ten years. I could incorporate all of the events though. I just figured this book would be incredibly boring if half the chapters were Hank, Meg and Charles doing nothing around the house. Hope you don't mind)

There on the table was a cake.
"Oh, Hank! Thank you!" I smiled hugging him.
"Let's have cake!" He yelled.

I ran to the table and sat in front of the cake. Hank got out a knife and started to cut the cake. I'd never had cake, so this was bound to be delicious!

"For the Birthday girl!" Hank said handing me the first slice of cake.

I grabbed a fork and took my first bite. It was incredible!

"Hank, this is amazing!!" I smiled.
"I'd knew you'd like it!" Hank said, while taking a bite of his own cake.

"I also got you a present." Hank announced, handing me a box.
"Aw, Hank! That's so sweet!" I smiled taking the box. Please don't let this be a serum.

I opened the box and found a silver necklace. The charm was a blue X outlined in silver.

"Hank! I love it! Thank you!" I smiled.
"Your welcome. I made it myself." He answered.
"When?" I asked.
"Late at night, when you were sleeping." He replied.
"Thank you!" I said again.
"Here." He laughed lightly, taking the necklace and clasping it around my neck.

"Hank, thank you for being my light in the darkness." I hugged him.
"Thank you for being my flashlight." He replied.

Hello,
Thank you to any one who gave me advice on my filling. It definitely calmed my nerves. Everything went well and the most painful thing was the needle. Now one side of my mouth is numb and I can't eat until it's not numb.

Since it's nearing the last chapter I will allow my M-men to get to know me. By doing things that make me happy, sad, mad and scared.

QOTD: what is Raven's last name?

Love you all!
