Before you begin, this book will be my idea of what happened during the ten years between first class and says of future past.

It's been a month since the 'war' and we still haven't heard anything of Eric and Raven. We didn't even know if they were ali... No, they were, are.

It was the day before Charles was opening his school. Hank, Alex, Sean and Charles were preparing for their classes. Sean was teaching History, Alex was teaching Math, Charles was teaching Language Arts and I bet we can all guess what Hank'll be teaching. They'll all be teaching the kids how to use their mutations. (Charles said I could help with that.) I, on the other hand was learning how to cook.

Since I couldn't teach the students, I was responsible for cooking for them. At the moment I was learning to make waffles, which wasn't that hard. The boys tell me my cooking is amazing and my baking is even better. Man, I hope they're right.

"Hey, Meg! What food is there to test today?" Sean asked literally jumping into a chair at the table.
"Waffles." I replied.
"Guys, waffles!" Sean yelled. Alex and Hank ran down the stairs.
"Here, enjoy!" I told the boys giving them the plate of waffles.
"I'm going to give these to Charles." I said holding a plate of waffles.

Charles doesn't come down stairs much these days, you know with his wheelchair and everything.

"Charles?" I asked knocking on the door.
"Yes, Meg." Charles answered.
"I made waffles, do you want some?" I asked.
"Absolutely!" Charles answered.

I walked into the classroom Charles was going to teach in. He was at the desk, sorting papers.

"Excited?" I asked putting the waffles down.
"More nervous." Charles replied, but he wasn't looking at me. His eyes wandered to a picture frame.

Charles always looked at that picture frame. That picture. You couldn't blame him. It brought back many memories, some good, some bad. It was the one person he really cared for. Raven.

I walked back down the steps to see that the boys had devoured my waffles.
"They're amazing, Meg!" Sean Yelled.
"Good! That's what the students will have for breakfast." I answered.

I sat down at the table with my three brothers. We didn't talk as easily as we did before. Except Hank and I. We were close, like close close. He always helped me and was easy to talk to despite his blue form. He was the first person Eric mentioned to me. He said 'Oh, Hank will love you.' And Hank does love me. Just not in the way Eric jokingly meant.

It was later at night and I was reading until I heard a voice in my head.
"Meg?" Hank asked.
"Yes, Hank." I answered.
"Can you come to the lab?"
"On my way."

I walked to Hank's lab and opened the door.
"Hank?" I said into the dark lab.
"Meg, Hey!" Hank said from the darkness.
"What did you want me for?" I wondered.
"Just to talk before the big day." Hank answered.

"So, if you ever need somewhere to be your always welcome here to help." Hank concluded his spiel. He basically said that I could come to his class anytime if I had nothing to do. Which would be always.

I'm really nervous to meet all of the students. They were all going to be older than me which was terrifying. I was scared of them and I haven't even met them! They were no ordinary high school students, they were MUTANT
