It was the next day and I was making waffles for the students. As I happily put all of the waffles on plates someone knocked on the door.
"You can come in." I said. I was expecting one of my brothers, but it was Marcus.

He walked over to the table sitting down without a rude comment or smirk.
"Meg, I'm sorry!" He exclaimed. "I-I-I." He began before he burst out into tears.
"Marcus." I said running to his aid.
"I've been so mean to you and you've been so nice and kind!" Marcus wept.
"Hey, hey. I accept your apology." I smiled.
"My parents died when I was three. They left my older brother and I with some of their good friends May and Joe. My brother was eighteen at the time so he just left. Joe locked me in a room and tortured me because I was as he called me a curse of nature, a mistake. I don't know what I was thinking, but you seemed like you had such an amazing life and then look at me! I was mad, I was angry! I'm sorry." Marcus said looking up at me. I was close to tears.
"Marcus, I didn't always have a life like this. I was thrown in an orphanage when I was very little. The owner locks me in a room and chained me to a wall. See." I explained to him pulling up my jeans so he could see the scar the chain left on my ankle. "I barely got any food or water. Until one day Charles and E- Charles came in and adopted me into his family. My life isn't perfect either. I've been through tough times and lost people I loved, but maybe that's a thing we have to deal with because of who we are, but for now we should both be thankful we live in this huge house, have people who care about us and food to eat."
"Thank you, Meg. For forgiving me. I was wrong we do have reason to listen to you. Your very knowledgeable." Marcus said.
"I wouldn't aways listen to me." I smirked.
"Why?" Marcus asked.
"I'm not as smart as Charles or Hank and I tend to be a little stupid sometimes." I said.
"I doubt it!" Marcus laughed. Soon we were both laughing.
"Sorry about your arm by the way." Marcus bit his lip.
"No problem I've been through worse." I smiled.
"Really?! Like what?" Marcus asked.
"My leg's been broken twice in the same year." I said.
"Same leg, same year?!" Marcus asked.
"Yep." I answered.

Same year, same leg, ... same person. I wonder about Raven and Eric a lot. Even through they sort of stabbed us in the back. No, wrong saying! Sorry Charles! Even though they turned on us, I still care about them. They're still my family. They'll always be my family.
