Hank and I were sat on the couch and he was reading a book to me. Then out of no where we heard yelling.
"Charles." I immediately said. Both of us jumped off the couch and ran to his room, opening his door. I ran to him. He was sitting in his wheelchair.
"Charles, what's wrong?" I asked concerned.
"The voices." He groaned. I knew how he felt. All of those people speaking in your head, sometimes I feel like giving up because there's so many voices in my head that it hurts.
"What do you want, some soup?" Hank asked.
"No! I want them out, for good!" Charles yelled.
"I just made a serum to help control my mutation, maybe I can make one for you." Hank suggested.
"Please?" Charles asked.
"Meg, stay with Charles, I'll go make the serum." Hank said.
"Okay." I weakly replied
This time I wasn't so sure about the serum Hank was making. We don't know how serums affected Charles. For all we know it could kill him!
"Charles are you sure you want to do that?" I asked.
"Positive, I can't stand these ignorant people anymore!" He replied.
I stayed with Charles all day. Making him soup and tea for him to consume when he woke up from his naps. All he did was sleep because it was the only thing he could do to block out the voices.
It was late at night now and I was in the lab with Hank. He was almost done with the serum. I swear if Hank had a hobby it would be creating serums that are made to change your genetics, but could also kill you or turn you into a blue furry monster.
"Okay, Meg, I'm done!" Hank yelled triumphantly.
"And your positive it will work?" I asked.
"If it worked on me, it should work on Charles. We both just have to take a daily dose of it." Hank explained.
"Okay." I said unsurely.
We both made our way to Charles's room. He was awake and holding his head in pain.
"Charles, I finished the serum." Hank smiled.
"Good, good. Give it to me." Charles said weakly.
Hank handed the vial to Charles, who slowly injected it into his vain. We waited a couple of minutes and nothing seemed to change.
"Maybe I could...." Hank began.
"You know what Hank, let's sleep on it, okay?" I asked. He nodded and then we were off to bed.
The next morning I woke up and walked downstairs for breakfast. I was heading towards the kitchen when I saw Charles happily walking out the door with a cup of tea.
"Good morning, Meg!" Charles smiled.
"Good morning Charles." I replied.
"WAIT!!! Charles, your walking!!!"'I yelled running over to him.
"How are you walking?" I asked smiling.
"Hank's serum not only stops my mutation it allows me to walk!" He smiled.
"HANK!!" I yelled.
"What?!" Hank asked coming down the stairs.
"Your serum for Charles." I said.
"Yeah?" Hank asked.
"It not only stops his mutation, but it allows him to walk!!" I smiled.
"No way!" Hank said.
"Good morning Hank!" Charles smiled walking passed us.
"See!" I said motioning towards Charles.
"Oh my gosh!!" Hank laughed.
"He can walk!" I smiled.
Hello!
This chapter is happy, but we all know it'll go downhill really quickly!
Did any of you see the Apocalypse panel from Comic-Con? I saw it on YouTube and I am so excited!!! Apparently there's a ten year gap between the two movies, again. Apparently Brian Singer has a thing for ten year gaps. Should I write a book about those ten years like this one?
And I would also like to thank all of you. I feel like I don't tell you guys enough that I'm truly grateful for you. You are all so nice and helpful, I wouldn't know where I'd be without you and I love you all.
QOTD: (this one might be easy, but I couldn't think of another question.) Who is Quicksilver's and Scarlet Witch's dad in the comic books?
