As the sun began to peek through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the kitchen, I stood side by side with my mom, preparing to make breakfast. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, mingling with the sweet scent of pancakes cooking on the griddle. I watched my mom expertly flipped the pancake with flick of her wrist, a skill she had perfected over years of making breakfast for us.
I arranged the table for breakfast with pancakes with maple and strawberry syrup with freshly made orange juice. I knew these moments, spent cooking with my mom, were one I would treasure forever. As I sat on the chair along with Shahil to enjoy his favorite breakfast, my dad joined us all got ready for his work.
"Wow..., delicious..., yummy, best pancakes ever" Shahil complimented taking a bite with his favorite maple syrup.
"Specially made for you" I smiled at him ruffling his hair.
"Shafiyya! It's almost time. Didn't you get ready? They will be here anytime?" Mom asked as she served dad.
"I just have to wrap my head mom. Once I finish eating I am all set to go". I said to her.
"Didii!! Can I come with you please?" Shahil asked with an expectation.
"Why not. I will take you with me" I said smiling at him which made him very happy.
Few minutes later we heard someone saying salam as Zahra entered inside.
"Bhabi! Are you not ready yet?" She asked standing in the hall with a mini hand bag in her hand.
"Can you please wait for two minutes. I just wear my hijab and come." I asked her.
"Yeah sure, auntie can we take Shahil with us please. It will be fun for him." She asked to my mom politely which my mom agreed.

Right now I was sitting beside Shahil in the back seat while Zahra sat front in the car. Zahra told that her mom couldn't join us today as one of her friend has come to meet her from Canada after 10 years. The road was very busy as people were rushing here and there preparing to start there day. Most of the shops were open while some shop owners are still dreaming.
The sky was clearly brightening with sky blue color. The Sun rays were visible making the atmosphere warm. Shahil was peeking through the window enjoying the scenery passing by.
"Bhabi What are you planning to dress on waleema ceremony? Bhai told me to ask you this, so we can buy your dress according to your likes."I looked at Zahra to her sudden question. Wow!!he cares about my likes and dislikes, I thought sarcastically.
"Anything is okay. What's your opinion?" I Asked her and she took a moment to answer as she started to think.
"I guess lehanga will look gorgeous on you." She said with gentle smile looking at me.
"Will go for that then" I said and she returned me a smile with a nod.
"So, what little Shahil wants to wear on his didi's wedding?" She asked to Shahil who was wondering the road through the window in a childish tone.
Shahil tapped his pointing finger on his chin in a thinking gesture.
"I want a ....." He kept thinking. "A spiderman costume". Shahil shouted excitedly which made Zahra and me laugh.
"I will definitely get that for you to wear some other time." She said to Shahil lovingly as the car stopped in front of a huge building.
The air inside the building was filled with sweet scent of perfumes and soft hum of music playing in the background, creating a luxurious ambiance that is both inviting and inspiring.
