Her hands clutched her dress as she looked down. I placed my both hands each side of her head on the wall and caged her. She was terrified to be in that position. "Move back. What are you doing" Turning her face to a side she pushed me with both han...

"Bhabi, here see. This is me when I was just a year old. I look so cute with those chubby cheeks" Zahra yelled near my ear showing her old photos with over loaded excitement. I looked at that photo which she pointed. In that she was wearing a white net gown, a tall and handsome man was carrying her in his arms who is mostly looked like Arsh. Beside them stood a little boy wearing a striped shirt and a jeans. His hair was oiled parted by side ways and neatly combed. Surprisingly he was smiling in that photo showing his pearly teeth.
"Bhabi, see this baby. Do you have any guess who it was?" She asked showing a picture of a baby swaddled and sleeping in the cot.
"This baby is chubby and cute so it's probably you Zahra". I said looking at the baby.
"Bhabi you lost. This is Arsh bhai when he was few days old on his naming ceremony" she said making me surprised. That baby was looking all pinky pinky with tiny face. From past hour I am sitting in Zahra's room and looking there photo album which had tons of photos in it. Arsh dropped me here and went somewhere as he told he has some work to do. The ride was silent neither of us didn't say a word. When we arrived here he called Zahra through his phone to call her and take me inside and without a word he left just like that flying in his car. Aunty was busy preparing lunch for us refusing my help. After going through with photo album I prayed my luhar praying asking a prayer mat from Zahra. When I am done with praying I looked for Zahra and she was no where to been in her room. So I decided to check her downstairs as I need a small help from her.
When I came downstairs I saw her watching something in the television.
"Come on bhabi, my favorite tele drama is about to start. Come and sit so we can watch it together". She said showing the place next to her and just like that a cushion flew to her direction and landed on her head making her gasp in utter disbelief.
"What are you doing? You should be studying for your tomorrow's exam, not watching those melodramatic actors over reacting on TV". Aunty scolded her from inside the kitchen and her patience was wearing thin.
"But mom, this show is teaching me valuable life lessons! Who needs algebra when I can learn about love triangles, betrayal and the importance of the dramatic pauses?" Zahra replied with a mischievous glint in her eyes which made me giggle in their little lovely fight and I started to miss my family suddenly.
Aunty rolled her eyes, trying to keep a stern expression but failing as a small smile tugged at the corner of her mouth. "Zahra, you and your excuses! Watching TV won't help you pass your exams. You need to focus and study hard and don't think your exam will have any questions about love triangles and dramatic pauses". She said again busying her self in preparing the food.
And just like dadi entered the hall greeting everyone. Her face brightened seeing me.
"When did you come my child? Where is Arsh? Don't tell me he just dropped you here and escaped." She said taking her place beside the chair where I was sitting.
