Harsh Merits
Haruhi took action throwing her bucket of shellfish directly at one of the boys. The target was caught off guard and received a few shells where the sun didn't shine, as well as to the face too. The male yelled out in pain as the shells made contact, beer cans hit the ground and his grip upon Momoka was released. "Why don't you quit bothering them! Weren't you jerks listening? Why don't you get lost already?" The girl did not take even a moment to quiver in front of the boys but rather stood with the bravery of a lion. "Haruhi-kun!" Momoka yelled out in desperation towards the girl as one of the drunk men staggered to get a new grip on her tightly. With both of the male's attention set on their new opponent, I took action. Gently raising my foot to slam it back down onto the man's foot. For a split moment his grip loosened, allowing me to escape and free Momoka again before he reset his grip. "Damn you, kid." The man grunted, turning me to face him. The situation seemed to get more tense by the second but there were other problems within our party. "Haruhi run and get the boys!" I yelled out to her but instead, she ignored my plea. As much as I admired her bravery, I knew that wouldn't get us far in this situation. Bravery is a victory seen within situations or even yourself. Such as standing up for yourself or others, expanding your horizons on new things, or challenging yourself. However, everyone who stands to show bravery must know there is such a term and self-description as foolish bravery. Foolish bravery like the name is quite foolish or in other terms reckless. This is typically when actions are taken without a clear or strategic plan made. In some situations, this type of bravery can lead to negative outcomes such as arguments, injuries, or even death.
Below a few meters from the rocky structures, Hikaru and Kaoru are running from Tamaki while he carries around a bucket full of snakes. "Those aren't rat snakes!" the twins yelled simultaneously. A few males approached as their footsteps kissed the sands. "Correct! You might want to let them go; those are poisonous habu snakes!!" Kyoya informed the boys while walking with Mori and Honey at his side. Panic overturned any sense of intelligence within the blonde. "What should I do?! Come on guys, help me out!" Tamaki yelled frantically while running around crying. The others could honestly care less as they looked away without a care or a hint of shame. "I don't know but that's your problem." The twins said before a new topic arose. "Have any of you seen Lena?" Kyoya asked, ignoring the chaos. "So that's why you are here." Hikaru concluded giving a small wink towards his twins initiating the twins verbal torture. "Just admit that you like her already and ask her out." Kaoru proposed following his brother slowly closing in on the boy of topic. Nervousness echoed off of Kyoya. "Who said anything about me liking h-." Before Kyoya could rebuttal the twins' little start of an interrogation, he was cut off by a crying plea. "Help boys! It's Haruhi and Lena." Momoka yelled out running towards the boys before collapsing with her hands on her knees, desperate for air.
On the rock formation, one of the boys holds Haruhi's shirt with bad intentions coming out to play. "What're you gonna do now loser?" he said, tensing at the memories of the attack a few minutes prior. The man practically dragged Haruhi closer, edging her to the cliff drop off. "Haruhi!" I yelled out to the girl. "Now don't you try and act all tough, little sissy boy!" The man holding me shouted before lowering his voice in hearing the proximity of just me and him. "And you. Shut up before I make you." The man said. "I got an idea kid; how'd you like to take a dip?" The other male said. "Haruhi!" Another yell ranged out among the chaos. This time it didn't belong to me but rather Tamaki. "...Hope you can swim!" The man finished his vocal stance from earlier, standing with the girl closing in on the edge of the cliff. My mind ran in circles like a merry-go round, overthinking every possible ending. I couldn't take much more of my anxiety. Time seemed to slow down, leaving only seconds to feel as if it had become minutes. I leaned my head back at an estimate of a good half foot before focusing on my target. My captors' eyes seemed glued to me, as he eyed me with suspicion but cleared it from his mind as he thought it was just another attempt at escaping. Which he wasn't technically incorrect. With one motion, I rammed my head forward to make direct contact with the male's head as well as his nose. The man fell back holding his now bloodied nose in agony while staring in disbelief at my actions. It is as if his whole ego took that hit as well. But I rather paid no mind to him as my vision was focused on my friend. The man who had hold of Haruhi, took one final action before his knowing defeat approached by pushing her off the rocks. I was the closest as I ran towards the edge and reached out for her. A hand held me back as I barely grazed her fingertips before she went over the edge. "No." I yelled out. The hand pulled me back with great strength stopping me from following in the depths after her. My emotions crashed down with the waves below, this was my greatest fear. Losing someone I cared so much for. For comfort, I was pulled back into his chest while gently wrapping his arms around me. Tamaki pushed past everyone before diving flawlessly in after her. The particles parted and began crumbling as his force pushed through, crashing riptides separated with no clarity of direction. The waves seemed almost as if they swallowed him and spit the both of them out with great disgust. Maybe disgust upon her foolish bravery or disgust because she didn't deserve being pushed from the cliff?
