One, Two, Don't Step On My Shoes

The host club's party was approaching rather quickly however one person was having more trouble with the arrangements then others. During the week, Haruhi had various attempts to master the waltz but very much failed at it. However Haruhi was graced with the presence of Princess Kanako to help guide her through the steps, or so everyone hoped. "Quick, quick, slow. Quick, quick, slow. Good work, Haruhi. Now, on the slow, you should bring your feet together. Remember, the gentleman always leads, and make sure to look at the lady you're dancing with." Kanako explained while trying to not get her feet stepped on once again. Haruhi took a moment to look up at Kanako thinking she got the hang of it before falling on top of Kanako. An embarrassed blush crosses her face as she apologized for her mistakes. "I'm so sorry, Miss Kasugazaki!" Kanako reaches up and holds Haruhi's face before pulling her towards her own face. "It is okay, Haruhi." Kanako said trying to make the host feel less guilty for the fall. "Can I help you up?" Haruhi asked while the other host had their own conversations.

"Why so gloomy, boss?" Both of the twins asked in synchrony before separating into their own responses. "I bet it's because he wanted to be the one Haruhi practices with." Hikaru said while elbowing his brother in the side, Kaoru gently elbowed back before responding. "I think you may be right, but he's way too tall to stand in as a woman." Haruhis and Kanako decided on a break as Haruhi got Kanako to a table with a green teacup. Haruhi has her arms behind herself as she says, "Thank you so much for allowing me to practice with you. I really appreciate it." Kanako seemed to have no problem with the practice lesson and rather enjoyed it. "Oh, no problem. I heard that you're not seeing any customers today so that you could practice dancing. I'm glad I got to spend this time alone with you." Kanako said before picking up her teacup gently to admire it. "Oh my. This is a new tea set, isn't it? It's Ginori." Kanako took notice before Haruhi became confused. "What's Jinora?" Haruhi asked while turning to Kyoya. "Ginori is a high brand known for its unique display of patterns on porcelain pottery." I explained before Kyoya chimed in. "You have a keen eye, Mademoiselle. In fact, we just received them yesterday. We decided it was about time for the club to upgrade its tea sets." Kyoya informed the females before going back to his notebook. "I see. What a pretty color. Lovely." Kanako complimented. Haruhi was utterly oblivious. "You must be into tableware, huh?" Haruhi asked while Kanako let her emotions show by slamming her teacup on the table. "Not really, I mean no of course I'm not! Whatever would give you that idea?" Kanako stuttered out quickly trying to recover from her verbal mistakes.

Kanako raised her head slightly as she heard a new voice echo throughout the room. "Hello? I'm here with the new teacups you ordered." The boy informed the room of people looking for an outlet for his task to be completed. I slowly approached the boy to take action upon the host's order. "Ah, thank you very much. Every item you've just chosen for us has been extremely popular with the guests. It is quite impressive." I told the boy while collecting the new collection. The boy whom I now recognize as Toru Suzushima took great dignity in his family company and paid a good bidding to the compliment. "Well, that's good to hear." Toru stated before Haruhi joined the conversation. "So, do you sell tea sets?" Haruhi asked. "No. I'm just a regular student. Can't you tell by the uniform?" Toru told the host, seeming a little offended by the question. Giggles filled the air from the female guest. "Oh, Haruhi. You're so funny. I can't blame you for not knowing." Kanako said while she stood up from the table with a smile. "After all, he doesn't really look like an heir to a first-class company." Kanako began to insult. Haruhi's face only displayed confusion which was beginning to be her most displayed emotion. "First class company?" Haruhi questioned.

"His family's business, the Suzushima trading company, deals primarily in the importing of tableware. They currently have the top market share in the country." Kyoya explained while reading from his black notebook while Haruhi was astonished. "Wow." Haruhi exclaimed, before I chimed in. "So, whenever something exceptional comes in, we've asked him to send it our way. He has a great eye for fine China. Don't you, Suzushima?" I said while giving a small smile to the boy. Toru brought his attention to me and smiled awkwardly. "You think? I've still got a lot to learn, but thank you." Anyone other bystander would think of the conversation as a flirting attempt. Or maybe someone else did too. "Aren't you leaving next month to study abroad in England?" Kyoya asked to clarify while squinting his eyes at the boy, his jealousy was beginning to show. "Yes, I am. Well, I'd better go now." Toru said in a hurry to get away from Kyoya's piercing gaze.
