Sunshine in Okinawa
No matter what I was doing within the moment, I could never savor the time I had. Everyday seemed to blend together, minutes to hours slipped by without any acknowledgement. I did not know whether it was just the repetitive routines or having no unique experiences to make memories of these days but what I did know is they all seemed to fade as fast as they started.
Today, the host club gathered in the club room working separately on homework and other planning tasks to get prepared for hosting hours as everyone began to get excited as the weekend was nearly just a day away. Haruhi and I sat within our typical seating arrangement, away from everyone and semi-free of distractions in the Host Club room.
Haruhi and I began studying at an empty table due to our World Literature test approaching next week. "Did you finish the read on Gilgamesh yet?" I asked the girl. "I did but I am a little stuck on the meaning of it, it's confusing." Haruhi told me as she flipped through her notes trying to grasp some understanding of the text. "That's because it was written between 2700 BCE and around 600 BCE in Akkadian language and has been translated into over 100 different texts. If you want I could help you." I told the girl, giving a small soft smile. "Yes please, I really don't want to fai-"
However before we could continue our conversation and studies, we had some visitors steal our attention away. "Beach." The boys spoke while confronting us as they squatted down laying their heads on the table. In all honesty it kind of reminded me of how a little kid would beg their parents for ice cream. "The beach?" Haruhi asked questionably. "Yes, the beach!" The twins said together before breaking off in their own responses. "You said it before!" Hikaru exclaimed. "That you wouldn't mind going to a real beach." Kaoru explained further. "Did I?" The girl said before looking over at me for confirmation. "You did, at the water park." I told her.
I could already tell this conversation would not let up and a headache was on the horizon. "And so...we've prepared swimsuits for you both." Kaoru said before him and Hikaru began to showcase their mother's latest designs of swimwear. "They're cute, aren't they?" Hikaru asked as the brunette girl's eyes went wide at some designs. "I think... that this kind of swimsuit would suit Haru-chan!" Honey said while taking a one-piece swimsuit into his grasp.
Hikaru gently took the swimsuit back, placing it down before both twins to brainstorm. You don't really get it, Honey-senpai." The twins stated before looking at each other. With a second glance the twins' faces shifted into mischievous intentions. "Oh no here they go again." Lena stated before receiving a tiny "what do you mean?" the smallest host questioned.
"With her "flat board" chest, she can fool others just by wearing our uniforms." Hikaru snickered, pointing lazily at the girl of the subject not holding back on how she lacked within some departments. Kaoru flashed a small apologetic smile before adding onto his brother's insults. "And so having her wear a one-peice to expose her meager body would just draw tears." Kaoru said before dragging Haruhi closer to the rack of clothing.
"And so! This separate swimwear type we carefully chose does a good job covering this problem with frills!" Both twins said simultaneously while showing off the frilly swimsuits. "How dare you two keep sexually harassing my precious daughter!" Tamaki yelled while trying to somewhat defend his love interest. "And then for Lena we coul-" the Hitachin twins continued before being cut off.
"That's quite enough!!" Two voices yelled and stated. Tamaki seemed terrified while Kyoya on the other hand had his signature shadow king aura radiating off of him. The twins took this as a sign to slowly step away from the shadow king and try to start a different topic. "So we're not going to the beach, then?" Hikaru and Kaoru asked innocently. "Who ever said we're not?" Tamaki said, confused at the question. Honey overheard as he began questioning the most important question of all. "Can my bunny come along?" The boy asked.
