57 missed calls from Handsome Sensei

"Shit"

Her eyes drifted off to the top left corner of her phone.

"10:18"

Her heart sank, it's late. It's gonna take time for her to walk home, so it's gonna be very late. Gojo had probably reached home. She knew she had explaining to do, since eating ice-cream certainly does not take 3 hours; whist ignoring her Sensei's calls.

Her hand reached up to her head, her fingers slightly tangling with her hair as she worried about what possibly she could do.

Sukuna watched her. He noticed the way her eyes widened when she looked at the number of missed calls and the time. Distressed, she looked back at Sukuna. She wanted to speak, to ask him why didn't he wake her up, but she couldn't. She tried to speak up, but nothing came out.

"Looks like you've realised that you're late." he said with a scoff.

She could feel the weight of everything pressing in on her, the turmoil and distress within her. But for now she pushed it all aside and focused on reaching home, as she thought that she could make up any excuse on her way. She took a deep breath and shook her head.

"Y-Yeah, R-Right..I...We..should go back," she whispered.

Sukuna noticed the growing tension within her, but he made no effort to comfort her. He jumped down from the tree and started walking.

"Come on then" he replied in a cool and detached tone. He didn't even look behind him to see if she was tagging along or not.

The journey back was quiet, a stark contrast to her inner self. The silent only seemed to make it worse. She clenched her palms into fist as she struggled to remain calm.

Sukuna could feel her energy. He could sense her inner turmoil and tension. However, he made no attempt to break the silence. He simply continued walking, keeping a bit of his attention on her. He wondered what was going on in her mind, but he didn't ask. He preferred to keep his thoughts to himself and observe her silently.

Minutes passed, what for her felt like hours. She was unaware of her surroundings, if she were to be alone, any creature would have easily jumped her. Abruptly, Sukuna stopped in his tracks.

"We're here."

He gestured to a street, and she could see that the familiar neighborhood was just metres away. She took a moment to register the surroundings.

"Wait.."

"Did he just help me reach home more easily..?" she thought as her gaze remained fixed on the familiar neighborhood in disbelief.

Sukuna observed her dumbfounded expression, noticing the disbelief in her eyes as she remained fixed on the scene before her. He knew what she was thinking, but he didn't offer any explanation.

He turned to face her more directly.

"I know being late isn't the only thing that's bothering you." he remarked, his voice still cool and detached.

His sentence made her gaze dart towards him, her mind pausing, as her attention was solely fixed on him. Sukuna took a step forward, gazing down at her.

"You know, I can help you get away from Gojo Satoru's questions, but.." a smirk formed on his face which was more teasing than mocking.

"There's no fun in that," he chuckled darkly, making Y/N a bit annoyed.

"What the fuck does this man mean?" she thought and his smirk toned down slightly.

"I'll give you 2 minutes, go ahead and make up any excuse, I wanna see how much more ridiculous you can be," he demanded, his tone carrying a mocking edge.
