Part 6: Gaming

Jared grabbed his hand and pushed it back to him while shaking his head a stern look on his face. After a few moments Aiden made an O with his mouth and nodded his head as if understanding something. They must have had a silent conversation. Scratching the back of his neck slightly Aiden stepped to the side so I could see past him to the TV.

"Would you like to play with us Scarlet we have an extra controller." His voice was quieter from his previous loud and obnoxious manner. He seemed nervous from his small crooked smile. After a few moments of not replying Jared gave a sigh from next to me.

"Come on little wolf why don't you have a seat and relax." Jared informed me. The three men in front of me returned to their previous spots on the couch while Jared led me over to a recliner. He motioned for me to sit down and I obliged quietly.

The chair was a light brown color and cushiony. It was a lot softer then I usually got but I couldn't help but like Jared's bed more. Jared knelt in front of me presenting me with a controller that matched the other ones. "You can play if you want to but you don't have to it completely up to you." I didn't want to play. I didn't know how to.

I was scared that if I refused he'd get mad but he did say it was my choice. The other guys were silent and waiting. I nervously scratched at my wrist hoping it'd be okay to reject the offer. After a second Jared smiled up at me from his knelt position. Although he didn't have to look to far up. He was quite tall. "Okay you don't have to. You know that if you want anything though just wave at me and I'll get it."

He gave me a full teeth grin at his declaration but it slightly faltered a little when a quiet whipping noise came from the boys that soon followed with snickering. "I'll be right here Scarlet, I won't leave you." He proclaimed as he went and sat on the floor a few feet in next to me. Between me and the other boys. Almost as if he was a wall between us.

Although I didn't like being in here with so many I did feel slightly safer with Jared there, protecting me in a way. At least in my mind. "Prepare to have your ass beaten boys." Jared said as he looked over at the other guys. The controller he offered me clutched in his hand. The guys gave their own remarks back to his statement and soon they were racing.

All of them were quieter than they were when we first arrived in here. The quiet peace that filed the room had me relaxing. Every once and a while one of them would say something to the other or give a soft chuckle but they over all kept it quiet. Feeling as though I was safe with Jared here I decided to think back to the gardens. Hoping that maybe Jared would take me sometime.

I couldn't help but feel disappointed that I couldn't go out and walk amongst the stone path that had flowers of all different varieties surrounding it in a big circle. In the middle of all the flowers was a fairly sized fountain. A wolf statue in the middle of it. Leaning down it took a drink of water but its eyes stayed looking up. Almost as if it was watching you. It was kind of creepy in a way but overall beautiful.

A small rose bush circled around the bottom of the fountain. The contrasts of the bright red flowers against the soft grey of the fountain making them stand out greatly. Being stuck in my calming thoughts of the flowers that I haven't seen in so long I started to slowly lose consciousness. Giving in I relaxed and fell asleep in the recliner curling in on myself. Trying to protect myself just in case I needed to.
