James POV .

It had been six months since I gained the freedom to do whatever I wanted, but deep down, I felt a sense of emptiness.

My parents kept asking me why Net hadn't come to meet us, even suggesting that we might have had a fight. I chose to ignore their questions, unsure of the reason behind my own feelings.

One morning, while having breakfast with my parents, my younger sister suddenly burst into the room, shouting, "James aaahhhhhhhhh, Mom, Dad!"

Startled, I asked her, "What's wrong with you?"

Excitedly, she exclaimed, "Mom, Dad, I have good news! P'James is now a licensed professional doctor!"

"Really?" I asked, surprised and intrigued.

"Yes, I saw the announcement on social media. Check your email," Yok commanded me.

Curious, I quickly checked my email and read the notification. Overwhelmed with joy, I couldn't help but shout, "Thank God! This is the best gift ever!"

My mom and dad hugged me tightly, congratulating me on my achievement.

My father suggested, "Go dress nicely. Let's celebrate tonight. It's my treat."

"Thank you, Dad," I said, hugging him back.

We all started preparing ourselves, getting ready to go out and celebrate my accomplishment. After about half an hour, we arrived at one of the best restaurants in Bangkok.

As we sat at our table, we perused the menu and placed our orders. While waiting for our food, we caught up with each other, sharing stories and laughter.

Then, as the food was served.
While we were eating, I couldn't understand why I felt compelled to look at the other side of the restaurant. As I let my eyes linger on that spot, I suddenly saw a familiar face heading towards the elevator.

It was a bit far from our table, but without hesitation, I stood up and said, "Excuse me for a while, I'll be back soon," to my parents and Yok. I quickly made my way towards the elevator, but by the time I reached it, the doors had already closed, and I had missed them.

Taking a deep breath, I tried to process what I had just witnessed.

"I'm not dreaming, am I? I'm certain it was Net and Yim, but who were those two pretty girls with them?" I spoke to myself, feeling a pang in my heart.

Just then, Yok approached me and asked, "P'James, is anything wrong?"

I replied, "Nothing. Let's go back to our table and continue our celebration." We returned to our table, but my mind couldn't shake off the thoughts of what I had seen earlier.

"Am I hallucinating? But I'm sure I saw Thomas and Latte too. I'm not dreaming or imagining things," I pondered silently.

After the celebration, we went back home, and I headed straight to my room. The events of the evening kept replaying in my mind, leaving me with a mix of confusion and curiosity. I needed some time alone to process everything and figure out what it all meant.

After our meal and the simple celebration we went back home ..

"Thanks dad for the dinner"

"You deserve it , congratulations again " he said

I headed straight to my room and locked the door. After changing my clothes, my phone buzzed, and I eagerly picked it up, hoping for an exciting call. However, when I saw the caller's name, my face fell with slight disappointment.

"Hello, Lea," I greeted.

"Oh, James... Hi... First of all, congratulations to us," she said.

"Congratulations to you too," I replied.

"James, do you want to join us tomorrow? Some of our classmates also passed the board exam, so we decided to celebrate tomorrow evening. If you want to join, you can come," she invited.

"Where?" I asked.

"In Chao Phraya River, at 7 in the evening. So, do you want to join us?" she asked.

"Okay, I'll go," I agreed.

"Oh, okay. See you tomorrow. Good night," she said.

"Good night," I responded, ending the call. I sighed and sat on my bed, thinking, "I thought it was him . But why did I expect him to call me?" I said to the empty room.

I moved closer to the window, gazing out at the garden. A flash of memory reminded me of him eagerly searching for the ring. I didn't understand why, but my heart felt a twinge of pain.

Shaking off the thoughts, I went to my closet to choose my outfit for tomorrow's celebration.

---
The next morning, I relaxed and took some time for myself. As the afternoon approached, I started preparing to meet my classmates to celebrate our new journey.

Looking at myself in the mirror, I saw a pleasant composure and couldn't help but smile. I sprayed some perfume on my body and grabbed my bag before informing my parents about where I was going. They wished me well and told me to take care.

At exactly 7 pm, I arrived and saw Lea waiting for me. She greeted me warmly, asking how I was doing. I replied, "I'm good."

"Okay then, let's go," she said, leading the way.

We boarded the cruise ship, and as we entered, I noticed a few people, including my classmates, catching up with each other. When they saw us, they greeted us warmly. We started catching up and discussing our future careers now that we had passed our exams.

However, while we were enjoying the party on the ship, I noticed Yim talking to Nico, one of our classmate. After Nico walked away, I took a deep breath and approached Yim to talk to him.

"Hi," I greeted him.

He looked at me for a moment and smiled, saying, "Hello."

"Yim, can we talk?" I asked.

"Sure," he replied, taking a sip of wine from the glass in his left hand.

"Yim, I'm sorry for not telling you about Tutor's feelings towards me. I felt trapped and didn't know what to do, so I kept it to myself. I knew that no matter what I did, you would be upset with me. I'm sorry for everything," I said, tears welling up in my eyes.

"James, you look like a kid. Why are you crying about this? Well, at first, I was angry because you knew his feelings but kept pushing us to get together. But I understand now, and don't worry about it. I've already moved on. I can't force Tutor to like me, and I've accepted that. I'm happy where I am now, so don't worry about me," Yim reassured me.

"Really, Yim?" I asked, hopeful.

"Yes, we're friends, of course, I'll forgive you. I know it was a difficult decision for you. So relax, we're still friends, and no guy will destroy our friendship," he said.

I hugged him tightly and said, "Thank you so much."

After that, we continued catching up and enjoying each other's company. Curiosity got the better of me, and I asked Yim about his brother, but I was too shy to ask for details. And I want to asked about the two girls that they with together in the restaurant yesterday. But I don't want Yim to get angry towards me ,even though I really want to know about them but I don't want him to angry with me .
