Omnipotency

Lights Out

Omni stared at Ashton Grimes.
"You...are the most annoying gnat. I should have just killed you."
"You should have. You had a chance to take out a problem but you decided to be cocky."

Ashton reached behind him as Omni had teleported and attempted a sneak attack.
"Cute sword."
Ashton pulled out a giant claymore out of thin air and just sliced directly through Omni's sword.
"Mine's bigger."

Omni's face went from one of confidence to one of disbelief in an instant.
"Impossible..."
Ashton booped Omni's nose and sent her flying into the stratosphere.
"YOU DON'T SEEM TO GET IT YET OMNI."
Ashton flew up at high speed and connected with an uppercut.
"You keep telling my family that everything we do is impossible...but a friend once told me one thing."

Omni quickly punched Ashton straight into space, crashing into the moon...and he just laughed.
"I AM THE FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE."

Ashton leapt off of the moon and aimed his finger gun at Omni.
"BANG!"
He fired only for Omni to catch the energy shot and toss it back to Ashton.
"So...annoying."
Ashton dodged the bullet and flew towards Omni, pulling his sword back and attempting to slice Omni down the middle. However, they grabbed the sword and broke it immediately.

"These games grow annoying."
Omni grabbed Ashton by the throat.
"And now, I will watch you die."
Omni then just straight up chokeslams Ashton through the moon before tossing him towards Mars.

As Ashton crash lands on Mars, Omni grabs him again by the throat and stares into his eyes.
"What is the point of this child? You know you can't beat me."
Ashton chuckles and grabs Omni by their throat.
"Do you want me to repeat what I said earlier?"
Omni chuckles slightly.
"How Foolish can one man be?"

Omni breaks his grip and tosses Ashton all the way into the asteroid belt. Once they fly there, she looks around for Ashton who seems to have disappeared.

and despite her omnipotence, they can't sense him.
"Ok...you want to play like this you little bastard? You want to play hide and seek? Fine."

Omni heard Ashton's laughter.
"Why are you laughing."
it stopped.
"Because you think you are the seeker Omni. No..."
his voice took a more serious tone as he reappeared in front of omni.
"you should be hiding."

Before Omni could react, they were crushed between two asteroids. They quickly broke through both of them, only to realize that they were no longer in space. No, they were now in...a dark warehouse?
"Child, what is the meaning of this."
"You wanted to play Hide and Seek! I'm just fulfilling your wish."
Omni then realized something horrifying...their powers...they were gone.

"What did you do."
"Welcome to my own little pocket dimension. I run this show. Not you. Now...lights out."

the darkness enveloped omni who began walking around the warehouse. this was all weird to them. why was ashton doing all of this when he could just try to straight up kill her? what was the point of these games.

every step felt oddly eerie to omni. it wasn't fear that they were feeling, but they were in a state of suspense. a state of anticipation. they felt their heartbeat slowly getting faster and faster as they kept walking.

"Tell me something Omni. Have you ever felt alive?"
"Trying to spark conversation? Peculiar."
"You haven't answered the question."
"Well obviously I have felt alive. I'm standing here now aren't I?"
"That's not what I meant."
"Then what do y-"

Ashton leapt out of the darkness, causing Omni to scream as he punched them out of the pocket dimension, back into reality.

why was their heart beating so fast? why were they beginning to smile? why was this still going?!
