Lee Jingyuan did not expose her lies. "What a coincidence. Right after you gave Auntie Qiu the money, she was killed in a car accident by Wang Xun. I'm sure you know of Wang Xun, don't you? He is the killer you hired. And Ah Cai, the woman you hired to impersonate as the Manoban family's gardener in order to trick Jennie into leaving the house so that Wang Xun could kill her in the guise of a car accident. I'm sure you never expected to be seen through, and for Wang Xun's car to hit Ah Cai instead."
Somi was overwhelmed with shock. On the surface, however, she maintained an innocent expression. "Grandfather, I don't understand what you are trying to say!"
But Lee Jingyuan continued questioning her ruthlessly. "I'm sure you know of Liang Chen, don't you? She is the nurse who used to care for Jennie's father, Dong Lee."
"I've never even met Jennie's father. How could I possibly know the nurse who used to take care of him?" Given how dire the circumstances were, Somi was no longer afraid of worsening it.
No matter what he said, she absolutely would not admit it.
This was because the moment she did so, she would be admitting to murder.
"After Auntie Qiu passed away, Liang Chen left on a trip to the mountains and fell to her death. On that same trip, someone saw Wang Xun appear. You say, could it be that Wang Xun had pushed her off of the cliff?" Although Lee Jingyuan was asking questions, he appeared to already know the answers.
"Grandfather, why are you bringing up all these people whom I don't know?" Somi's expression was filled with confusion.
"You insist on pretending further, is it?" Lee Jingyuan went on to expose everything. "Although Auntie Qiu and Liang Chen appear to be two, unrelated individuals, they share a commonality. They are both related to the Kim family's people. Auntie Qiu used to be the Kim family's helper and had the ability to interact with everyone in the Kim family." His gaze shifted onto his granddaughter, Jennie, who was seated on the couch. "That includes Jennie."
He paused for a moment before continuing. "As for Liang Chen, back when she was alive, she had been Dong Lee's, Jennie's father's, personal nurse. She had the ability to get close to Dong Lee." His sharp, wise gaze landed on Somi. "Meanwhile, you brought your father's and 'your' hair to me and requested for a DNA test to be done. Based on the result, you were proven to be the Lee Group's only successor. Clearly, your 'father's' hair had been taken from Dong Lee by Nurse Liang Chen. As for 'your hair', Auntie Qiu had obtained them by searching through the trash bin for Jennie's hair while she had been working at the Kim home as a servant. It's no wonder that you were able to succeed with the DNA test ploy. However, you must not have expected Auntie Qiu to realise the way you became the Lee family's granddaughter, and to threaten you for money. Thus, you murdered her to silence her."
Kai and Huang Zhishu were both deeply astonished. It turned out that Lee Jingyuan already knew that Jennie was his actual granddaughter. He even knew of all of the schemes hidden during this time!
It seemed... Somi was truly doomed this time.
Somi also did not expect Lee Jingyuan to know so much. Despite this, she harrumphed coldly. "Grandfather, Auntie Qiu and Liang Chen are both dead. No matter how you slander me, you don't have any evidence behind these claims. How did you find out about these matters? Did Jennie tell you about them?"
"That's right." It was Jennie who responded to her. "I was the one who investigated these matters and told my grandfather about them."
Lee Jingyuan also nodded.
Somi spoke angrily. "You're even addressing him as your grandfather. You're truly harbouring evil motives."
She then immediately said to Lee Jingyuan, "Grandfather, you must not believe in Jennie. This woman has too many connections and must have used them to pin her crimes on me. I'm the one who did the DNA test with you. I'm your actual granddaughter. She's trying to impersonate me. If you don't believe me, we can have another DNA test done!"
