Somi was very intelligent and almost immediately understood the situation. She intentionally dropped the red packets she had taken. "Eh? Cousin-in-law, your red packets fell."

She then bent down and considerately picked them up, handing them over with a smile. "These are from the Manoban family's elders. Keep them with you carefully."

Jennie accepted them calmly. She watched Kai thoughtfully and realised that this bastard had reminded Somi to cease her actions.

Furthermore, he had done so seamlessly, leaving her with no way to become upset.

She understood that the Manoban siblings weren't easy to deal with. Nonetheless, she had plenty of time to handle them.

Jennie opened the red packets on the spot unhappily. As expected, each contained a cheque worth six million dollars.

The cheques were signed by the different elders and it was clear which belonged to whom.

Jennie then took out the red packets which Somi had stuffed into her pockets.

She opened them. "You secretly gave me red packets? You even gave me three at a go. There's twenty dollars in each one of them. Those who don't know may think you were trying to replace my red packets with these ones worth sixty dollars."

Somi's smile stiffened. How could she possibly admit to it? "Miss Kim, you've misunderstood me. I only wished to give you some red packet because it's your first time visiting our family. It's an expression of my sincerity."

"Misunderstood?" Jennie harrumphed coldly. "Why would you give me three red packets then?"

"Yes..." Kai naturally spoke up for his sister. "It's like this. One of the red packets is from my sister, and the other two are from my mother and I. We asked her to hand them to you all at once."

"Yes, yes." Somi rushed to agree with her brother. "I was worried you wouldn't accept it, so I placed them in your pocket secretly."

"Not bad, sixty dollars." Jennie directly threw the money at Kai's face. "I won't accept such a 'large' sum. Keep it for yourself."

Kai was hit directly in the face and his expression immediately turned poor.

"Is Miss Kim complaining that it's too little?" A hint of mocking flashed past Somi's eyes. "Sincerity is more important than the gift itself. I didn't expect my future cousin-in-law to be such a superficial person."

"Hahaha." Jennie laughed. "Somi, don't act as if you're on a higher moral standing." She narrowed her eyes lightly. "Are you expressing your sincerity through a light gift? You know better than anyone else that you were trying to replace my money with a mere sixty dollars. Do you think I would accept this excuse of yours? You're too shameless!"

Somi's complexion turned pale. She explained in frustration. "I didn't touch your red packets. They fell when I tried to give you mine..."

"When you were committing a crime, your brother, Kai, noticed Butler Mingde watching us and made you stop." Jennie did not waste her breath. "Butler Mingde will report this incident to Grandfather. Who knows what sort of conclusion he will come to?"

Somi's face became as white as a sheet of paper.

Jennie had nearly managed to show Somi the consequences. If only she had truly managed to take the cheques.

She was similarly angry that Kai had interfered.

Jennie kept her red packets in her bag and left in anger while Kai and Somi pretended to be strolling in the yard.

Somi felt fearful. "Brother, thankfully you noticed Butler Manoban. Otherwise, I would be doomed."
