"Scram." A hint of impatience flashed past Lisa's expression.
Huang Zhishu was frightened into trembling. However, she could not back down when it came to her own daughter.
She knew that it was useless to continue begging him any further. Thus, she turned to Elder Chongshan. "Father, though Somi is my adopted daughter, I've always treated her as my own. She has always been a good child and is the Lee Group's only successor. If news spread that Lisa has detained her, her reputation would be ruined."
Jennie suspected that Somi was not Lee Jingyuan's granddaughter. Instead, there was a possibility that she herself was part of the Lee family's bloodline.
However, this was only a suspicion. She did not wish for others to think that she was greedy for the Lee family's wealth. Thus, she did not plan on bringing this matter up yet.

Hong and Ye Yunzhi did not care about this.
Elder Manoban, however, was angered into glaring at her. "Very good. Consider it that the Manoban family raised her for nothing then. From this day onwards, Somi is no longer a member of the Manoban family!"
Huang Zhishu spoke in pain. "Since Somi isn't a member of the Manoban family..." She turned to Lisa fearfully. "You can't detain her."
Lisa's lips twitched into a hint of a cold smile. "Since she isn't a member of the Manoban family, she won't be missed even if she dies."
Of course, even if she were an outsider with the Manoban family's name, her death would not affect anyone.
Huang Zhishu's original intentions were to rescue her daughter. She did not expect things to turn even worse. "Lisa, that wasn't what I meant. I just wanted you to let go of Somi..."

Huang Zhishu's legs were weak as Kai supported her to sit down on the sofa.
