"Will you take a pic for my mum, Vale?" Leah asked, turning to me with a hopeful expression.

I couldn't help but smile at Leah's request, feeling a surge of affection for her as I reached for my phone to capture the moment. "Of course," I replied, my voice warm with affection as I snapped a quick photo of Leah's tattoo, making sure to capture every detail.

Leah beamed up at me, her eyes shining with gratitude as she leaned in to press a soft kiss against my cheek. "Thanks, babe," she murmured, her voice filled with genuine appreciation as she settled back onto the tattoo chair while Arya cleaned and wrapped up the new tattoo. "Sure you don't wanna get one too?"

I chuckled softly at Leah's suggestion, shaking my head with a smile as I met her gaze. "Maybe next time," I replied, my voice filled with amusement as I watched Arya carefully clean and wrap up Leah's new tattoo. "I'll stick to admiring yours for now."

Leah raised an eyebrow at my answer, looking at Arya for a second before her gaze turned back to me. "If it's because of your mother-"

"It's not. I promise. I just don't think I'm ready for another one yet." I explained, reaching out to take Leah's hand in mine, my thumb tracing gentle circles over her skin as I met her gaze with a reassuring smile.

Leah studied my expression for a moment, her eyes softening with understanding as she squeezed my hand gently. "Okay,"

"Alright, Leah. You're done." Arya smiled, wiping her hands with paper towel. "You know the rules. No exposition to the sunlight or swimming for at least a week, and make sure to keep it clean and moisturized."

Leah nodded solemnly, her expression serious as she listened to Arya's instructions. "Got it," she replied as she glanced down at her newly tattooed skin, a sense of pride evident in her gaze.

Leah carefully stood up from the tattoo chair, her movements cautious as she adjusted to the sensation of her freshly inked skin. She put her shirt and jacket back on, and soon enough, we left the tattoo shop hand in hand, walking together in the surprisingly sunny streets of London.

"So, what you wanna do next, birthday girl?" I asked, turning to Leah.

"Mh.... A movie night. With the girls." Leah replied with a playful smile, her eyes sparkling with excitement as she glanced up at me. "And maybe some pizza," she added, her voice filled with enthusiasm as she linked her arm through mine, her grip firm and reassuring.

I couldn't help but smile at Leah's suggestion, feeling a surge of warmth and contentment coursing through me at the thought of spending the evening curled up with her and the rest of our teammates, laughing and joking together as we enjoyed a movie and some pizza.

"That sounds great, I'm down," I replied, getting my phone out of my pocket. "Should I send a message on the group?"

Leah nodded, offering me a small smile.

Valentina: movie night. Leah's place. 8 p.m.

Beth: doesn't sound like a question.

Valentina: it's not

Lotte: what if we have plans?

Valentina: Cancel them. Movie night at Leah's is non-negotiable.

Katie: Count me in. As long as @SudokuLeah promises not to cry during the movie again.

Leah rolled her eyes at Katie's comment, a playful smirk playing on her lips. "Okay, in my defense, they made me watch The Notebook fresh out of a breakup. That's sabotage." Leah replied, raising her hands.

I blemished a little at her words, the prospect of speaking about one of her exes making me slightly uncomfortable. "Fair point," I replied, trying to steer the conversation away from the topic of Leah's past relationships. "What kind of pizza you wanna get?"

One day I'll have it all. // WilliamsonWhere stories live. Discover now
