It had been a few weeks now, you got regular visits from Felix and your mum, and a few from your friends- not everyday though as they had their own lives to focus on obviously. You were getting relatively better and you also had surgery a few days ago they were able to stitch up your deep wounds and the blood transfer was nearly complete, you were to be discharged the next day but were still advised to take painkillers and get plenty of bed rest in order for your ribs to heal properly. You were looking forward to being back home especially that you had nothing to worry about, you were hoping with everything out the way you and Felix could focus on eachother.
-
It was the day you would be discharged, you were given clothes that Felix dropped off earlier and the nurses escorted you out on a wheelchair, when you got outside you saw Felix waiting by his car holding a bouquet of roses, you couldnt help but smile softly at the sight, he looked so nervous but adorable, he was dressed up in a suit and was nervously tapping his foot looking around. The nurses pushed you infront of the car and got his attention, Felix thanked the nurses and they went back inside after giving him the pills you needed to take. When they left you looked up at Felix smiling, he leaned down to meet your face and softly placed a kiss on your forehead, you tightly hugged his waist and he gave you the bouquet of flowers. Before leaning back up he whispered in your ear.
"i missed you..."
You smiled at him and grabbed his face, giving him a quick peck on his lips.
"i missed you too"
His face lit up like a child and he picked you up bridal style putting you in the passengers seat, rolling the wheelchair back to the boot of the car. As he sat down you saw the ruby tinted necklace peaking through his suit, you pulled it out and looked at it, untucking your own from under your shirt, he smiled even more, it made you feel giddish, everything he did was so cute and child-like, thats what you loved about him, every little thing he did warmed your heart.
"Im so happy you kept the necklace..." he whispered.
"Me too, id never throw it out no matter what happens" you reassured him rubbing his hands soothingly, he sighed almost relieved and started the cars engine, he placed his hand on your thigh rubbing it whilst you held that same hand.
He reversed the car out the hospitals parking grounds and you started to drive away, the ride back was silent with music playing faintly in the background but it wasn't an uncomfortable drive, in fact it was the nicest you ever had, it was so peaceful you felt like you would fall asleep any second with the warm wind that swooped in through the windows. Every now and then Felix would squeeze your leg softly like he was making sure you knew he loved you which made you feel happy, it was a small gesture but everything he did made you happy right now and you hoped it would stay like this.
You arrived back home and Felix helped you out and carried you upstairs as the wheelchair wouldn't be able to get up the stairs, he placed you down on the sofa and sat beside you wrapping his arms around your shoulder rubbing it up and down, you leaned into his chest sniffing in his scent, He smelt of cinnamon and vanilla- a strong kind, you loved his scent it made you feel so at ease, you fell asleep in his embrace with him also falling asleep, his head on yours.

You were awoken by a deep orange blaring in through the windows, it was the sun setting. You checked the time on your phone and it was 5pm , you swiftly lifted your body from Felix's embrace, careful not to wake him up, struggling you heaved yourself on the wheelchair and pushed yourself to the kitchen counter where your painkillers were, you had to take two a day it didnt matter what time just one in the day and one before bed, you gulped the pill down taking in a cup of water, placing the cup down you rolled back to the sofa and sat down opening up your laptop, you were bombarded with notifications of the news with several headlines that caught your attention, they were labelled as:
'Girl brutally beats man till he begs to be left alone'
'Innocent coffee worker attacked by stalker'
'women left in hospital for weeks after being attacked by boyfriends jealous friend'
Your eyes traced along every single word, your anger growing by the second, you clenched your fists, clouded by your growing anger you punched the screen of your laptop, watching the screen buzzing in hazy colours and the black ink spreading across the screen, it eventually shut off and wouldn't turn on at all. You angrily slammed the laptop shut thinking of what you just saw. People were spreading your private life everywhere, some were in favour of you but some made him seem like the victim, you were pissed, you wanted to scream but you didn't want to wake up Felix.
You hated that people were so selfish and so insensitive about everyone elses personal life, but what could you expect? people were always like this...
