After a few lessons lunch time came around and I headed to the cafeteria and got my tray of food and went over to a table where my best friend Elena was sitting.

I smiled at her as I sat down and said
"Hey."

"Heyy!"
Elena said. She could see something was wrong. She was the only person in school who knew my mother died. Elena was my bestfriend since forever I loved her.

I took a apple off of my tray and took a bite of it.I said to Elena as I looked at her deep blue eyes
"I think I'm going to visit my moms grave after school."

"Oh Ali. I can come with if you want to."
She offered smiling.

I shook my head and said
"No it's okay I can go alone."

"You sure?"
Elena said reasuringly. I noded in response

The bell rung and I stood up from the table and picked up my still fun tray and said a quick 'goodbye' to Elena before walking out of the cafeteria to my last class.

I was finished wmy last classes they took forever I couldn't wait to visit my moms grave but it was sad as well since she wouldn't be the one talking I would be. I headed outside and before I could leave Lucas called out
"Hey, sunshine! Wait up!"

I turned around and waiting for him to catch up and I said in a annoyed tone
"What is it? I'm not in the mood for your nonsense Lucas."

"Can I give you a lift home?"
Lucas asked and the corners of his lips tugged up

I sighed and said
"No thanks. Bye Lucas."

He was about to say something but nothing came out of his mouth and I walked out the door leaving him standing there I headed to the graveyard that was a 15 minutes walk. I reached the graveyard and headed torwards my moms gravestone I crouched down and brushed my fingers against the fresh gravestone engravings

"Hi mommy. I miss you"
I whispered softly as my finger traced the engravings on the gravestone.
Warm Tears sliped down my face and I sat next to the gravestone and leaned my head onto the gravestone

"I love you mommy. I'll stay strong for you."
I said as I wiped my tears. I continued talking with my head leaned against the gravestone. More than an hour passed by and it felt like minutes of time I told my mom about everything about dad's drinking habit and how I had to work to get by with food for myself. I stood up from the ground and brushed my fingers against the gravestone

"I'll stay strong for you I promise. I love you mommy."
I whispered and wiped my last tears and walked out of the graveyard with the memories of my mom in my head.

I reached home and I found my dad on the couch with beer bottles laying on the ground and on the coffee table.I put my backpack next to the door and started cleaning up the living room and the house. After I was done it was already past 9 p.m I climbed up the stairs into my room and as I hit my bed sleep took over me instantly.
