"I need to fall."
I stated the moment I entered the room.

Emily's face dropped. Again.
Looks like I have a track record of negatively shocking her.

Sarah cleared her throat.
"We were... actually hoping to know how your first week in heaven was...?"

"I am still homesick,"
I admitted.

"Aww..."
Emily sympathised, putting on a reassuring smile.
"But here is your home now, Y/n. You'll love it here."

"I tried, believe me, I tried, but...
It feels... wrong here.
Living in fear is not a good afterlife."

"I wouldn't say that if I were you,"
Sarah warned.

"Fear?"
Emily asked in disbelief.

"Of messing up somehow and falling."
I crossed my arms.
"What do I have to do? Insult the almighty? Doubt heaven? Have sinful thoughts? Sin?"

"Woah, woah!"
Emily was horrified.

"I understand that the change is hard for you. I understand you miss your previous afterlife, the souls you used to know. But one thing I can't understand is missing being in that chaotic inferno..."
Sarah said carefully.

"I had quite the nice time there.
And I left it just as it was about to improve so much! We took down three very cruel and impactful overlords. It opens an opportunity for demons to try and be better."
I argued.
Emily listened closely, looking at Sarah.

"I WANT to be there. I NEED to be th-"

"That's ENOUGH."
The high Seraphim stood up.
"Don't you talk like that, you are supposed to be the best of humanity."

"No one here is the best."
I squinted.
"You all just managed not to mess up too badly."

"Please leave. At once."
She was angered.

I stomped out, quite disrespectfully.

I started brainstorming.
Who kicks souls out of heaven?
Sarah seems to be in charge, but I don't know if she does it.
What if I die again? Will I respawn in hell?
...I can't risk it.
Maybe if... I sin really badly, kill someone...
...I can't.
I still have morals.
I wouldn't be able to face charlie if I did it.

"You are already on thin ice, Emily."

"But-"

"None of that. They will realise that they belong here and stop making a fuss."

Tch.

I exited the hall and approached the pearly gates, trying to see if there's a way to exit.
Maybe... one day, Charlie or Lucifer will arrive to negotiate over something. The future of hell, now that the Vees are gone.
...no, heaven won't have an interest in that. The extermination is already cancelled.

"Why so blue, little one?"
On old angel put a hand on my shoulder.
"No one is sad in heaven."

"Have you ever wanted something, more than anything, but couldn't get it?"
I asked vaguely.

"I have everything I need. Although, when in doubt, praying to the almighty with a pure heart, will give you the answer."

"Thanks,"
I mumbled.
I'll try almost anything at this point.

Now how am I going to do this...?

I tried knocking my heels together while saying 'there's no place like home'. Nothing happened.
