Kate sat up as the thunder roared
Anthony sat up and looked over at her
"Kate are you alright?"all she could do was bury her face in the warmth of his chest, snuggle closer as his arms wrapped around her. As if somehow he could make all her problems go away by his presence alone.
"Kate? Dearest?" he asked, his voice soft and worried. "What happened?
"What's wrong?"kate just shook her head, the motion having to suffice until she could think of the words, summon the courage, stop the tears.
"What has happened are you alright?"
"Anthony I'm fine ," she said, somehow summoning the energy to pull herself far enough back so that she could see his face.
"I shouldn't be a burden to you go back to bed" "Kate" Anthony sighed you are no one's burden he kissed her head softly
A tear rolled down her cheek then they all started rolling down her face
"it's alright dear"Anthony whispered as Kate cried into his chest "it's just thunder ok sweetheart I've got you I'm right here" Kate curled into his arms
"look at me"Kate looked up
"I'm right here I will always be right here" the thunder roared and Kate curled up closer to Anthony
"I have you sweetheart"Kate curled onto Anthony's bare chest Anthony stroked her back with his hand
"I've got you it's all gonna be ok"he whispered he kissed her hair softly the smell of Lilly's from her hair southing him not that he needed it
"Kathani bridgerton only you would be one of the most terrifying women I know and be afraid of thunder storms"
Kate giggled
"I'm not as strong as I look"
"I beg to differ you are so strong you have birthed all four of our children you have been thrown off a horse several times you fought for each member of your family and you care for every single person in your life not once letting anyone put you down but you don't break down your barrier unless your with me and that's certainly all right because you are my wife and the most important women in my life and my favorite"
He kissed her softly the thunder clapped but neither seemed to notice
