A Dream To Me // Technoblade

Maya's POV

I was standing at the sink preparing to wash the dishes after eating some lunch while Techno was finishing up a lore stream in his office

I found myself humming a tune I couldn't quite place while my eyes absentmindedly wandered the room until they landed on our condiments shelf and then it clicked

I was humming Dreams by The Cranberries

I smile to myself as I ask our Amazon Alexa to play the song and start it from the top, singing the actual words this time

"All my life is changing everyday, in every possible way" I close my eyes and feel the song as I'm singing, not hearing techno's office door opening or his footsteps padding along the carpeted floor towards me

I begin to sing the next verse when another voice joins in from behind me

It was technoblade and he was... harmonizing with me beautifully???

He joins me at the sink and we smile at each other as he rolls up his hoodie sleeves and grabs a plate and a sponge to help me out

"All my dreams are never quite as it seems, never quite as it seems" we sing together, unable to wipe the smiles from our faces as we wiped the plates and bowls clean

"I know I've felt like this before and now I'm feeling it even more because it came from you" techno leans down slightly and kisses the tip of my nose

"But then I open up and see, the person falling here is me" we both point at ourselves and laugh

I add in some vocalizing for affect because I'd be damned if I spent 4 years getting that musical theatre degree for nothing

"And now I tell you openly, you have my heart so don't hurt me, you're what I couldn't find" my jaw hits the floor as he stares into my eyes and sings the lines beautifully

"A totally amazing mind, so understanding and so kind, you're everything to me" he points to me and back to himself as I join back in with the singing

"All my life is changing every day, in every possible way" techno prepares to join in for the last few lines of the song as I sing "and all my dreams are never quite as it seems, cause you're a dream to me"

"A dream to me" I smile straight at him and tap his nose as he puts the final dish away

"Now when were you going to tell me that THE Technoblade had pipes like THAT?" I smile

He just smirks and chuckles in response as he places his hand on my hip and uses the other to cup my face and bring me in for a soft but deep kiss

I wrap my arms around his neck as I melt into the kiss but unfortunately we had to separate for air soon after

Not wanting to let go of him just yet, I nuzzle my head in the crook of his neck as my eyes flutter shut

"I love you" he smiles at me while gently rubbing circles on my hip with his thumb as we sway back and forth in the middle of our living room in silence together "so much"

He really is A Dream To Me

So surprise I guess?

This idea came to me while I was listening to the song myself and I had to write it

Unfortunately this does not mean I will be returning to this book regularly but if an idea happens to strike and I HAVE to write it then you'll get the occasionally bonus story here and there!
