Techno's POV
"the next game isssssss" Michael hyped us up in the decision dome
"build mart" his enthusiasm quickly disappears
unimpressed grumbling quickly fills the call as the game begins and people start running off to collect blocks
"I need quartz!" Dream suddenly realises, halfway through his build
"no problem fam I will go get that for you!" I say sarcastically and the group explodes into laughter as I continue the bit while mining the blocks
"oh my girlfriend just made me a sandwich!" Michael says "THANK YOU I LOVE YOU" he shouts to her
"imagine datin' a woman. total simp move" I joke and my girlfriend must have heard me as she started giggling quietly
unfortunately she wasn't quiet enough as Dream heard her
"did I just hear a girl's giggle?" dream asks, confused
"reminder that I am single" burren deadpans
"my girlfriend is currently not in the room it was not her" Michael clarifies
"techno?" dream asks
"uhhhh" I panic "one second"
I mute discord and my stream and turn to my girlfriend
"you wanna say hi?" I ask
"sure!" she smiles before making her way to my set up
"um where should I sit?" she asks, realising there's only one chair
I just pat my lap
"are you sure that's ok?" she asks
I nod at her with a smile and she sits down
I place one of my earbuds in her ear
"you ready?" I whisper while my mouse hovers over the unmute buttons
"yeah" she whispers back and I unmute
"oh hey techno what was all that about?" burren asks
"hello?" she shyly greets with a smile
"tHATS NOT TECHNO-" dream panics and my girlfriend giggles "SHIT I JUST FELL OFF"
"you'd be correct, I am in fact not techno" she laughs "I am Lindsay, his girlfriend"
"TECHNO HAS A GIRLFRIEND?!" dream yells and Lindsay winces "oh sorry that was a bit loud"
"yes I have a girlfriend" I chuckle
"I'm back from the bathroom" Michael explains
"hi Michael!" Lindsay greets
"WHO-" Michael yells but is cut off by Dream and Burren
"Techno's girlfriend" they say at the same time
"I NEED ALL THE DETAILS" Michael yells and the VC explodes into laughter and the next game is spent with Lindsay telling the boys about herself and our relationship and exposing me a bit in the process
"w-wait so techno asked you out by doing a scavenger hunt for renamed potatoes on your Minecraft server?!" Dream wheezes
"yeah!" Lindsay cackles and despite the embarrassment I can't help but smile as she only lets out that cackle when she's around people she's comfortable with
Lindsay's phone goes off next to her on the desk
"sorry guys I got to go my mom is calling me" she frowns
"aw bye Lindsay!" the team wishes her well and she hands me my ear bud back
"see you after the tournament techno" she pecks my lips
"see you later Linz I love you" I peck her lips back
"love you too!" she calls back before returning to her call with her mom
"simp move" Michael uses my own joke against me
"shut up" I laugh before we're launched into sands of time ________________________________________________________________________________
