Chapter 23

RAKING his hair harshly while walking back and forth in his bachelor pad's living room, Prius took a deep breath to calm his rage.

Yet, after a few minutes, he ends up kicking the sofa.

"Fuck!" he cussed under his heavy breath and anger.

Nakakagalit ang kagaguhan ng lalaki na siyang dahilan bakit walang malay si Sunrise. Kung bakit kailangan itong turukan ng pampatulog para lang kumalma. Ayaw niya man pero nang makita niyang ayaw nitong kumalma ay hinyaan niya si Leaf na turukan ang dalaga ng pampatulog.

Buti na lang kasama niya ang doctor niyang kaibigan kanina kasama si Rogue na abductor sa grupo nila. They were a big help.

"Come on, man, calm down," Rogue said, handing him a bottle of Alcindor Light.

He grabbed the beer and drank. Halos kalahati agad ang ininom niya pero kahit ganon ay hindi nabawasan ang galit niya sa gagong walang matinong magawa sa buhay.

Rogue sat on the sofa, resting his feet on the coffee table while drinking. "Have a seat, Prius. Walking back and forth will not help you," anito.

"It does, Rogue." Pigil ang inis na sagot niya.

"What is your plan with that scumbag?" Rogue asked.

Tumigil siya at tinignan ang kaibigan niya.

Prius smirked. "There is a lot. You can name a few and I'll be willing to do it."

"Cut off his dick," Rogue shrugged nonchalantly.

Umiling siya saka pabagsak na naupo sa single sofa. "I'm not gonna go there. But a few broken ribs will be enough."

"Weak." Nginisihan siya ng kaibigan na sinagot niya lang ng sama ng tingin.

Natahimik silang dalawa pero hindi nagtagal ay sabay silang napatingin sa hagdan.

Prius stood up, walking quickly to the last step of the stairs. "And? Ayos lang ba siya? Hindi ba naparami tinurok mo?"

Leaf gives him a deadpan look. "What the fuck do you think of me? A quack doctor that doesn't know what he's doing?" he scoffed, walking past him.

Sinundan niya ito. "Then what? Why is she not awake yet?"

Tumigil si Leaf at nagbuga ng hangin bago siya hinarap. "Bud, stop freaking the hell out. Your woman is safe, okay? She'll be sleep five hours minimum and when she wakes up, she'll be tired but back to... herself..." Nagkibit-balikat ito.

Kumunot ang noo niya ng makita ang hindi kasiguraduhan sa mukha nito.

"You sure about that?" Prius frowned, narrowing his gaze at his friend.

Leaf sighed. "Not really." Seryoso siya nitong tinignan. "She was wild back there, who knows she'll go on a rampage again when she opens her eyes."

Marahas niyang naisuklay ang daliri sa buhok niya. "Damn it! Just what the fuck did that asshole do for Sunrise to get upset like that?" he asked, brushing his chin roughly. "Sunrise is the sweetest, I tell you. Hindi ko pa siya nakitang nagalit. Ni ang magtaray ay hindi niya ginagawa. She always has that joyful and friendly smile- that - what happened there was a surprise to me."

"Baka naman binastos ng gago," ani Rogue.

"Very likely," Leaf agreed, taking a seat.

Magsasalita sana siya nang mag ring ang cellphone niya. Agad niya iyong pinulot mula sa coffee table.

It was Cyclone- the tracker in the group. Sa grupo na kinabibilangan niya ay may kanya-kanya silang ginagampanang trabaho. Siya scourer.
