(Another story for you 😇)

"Your ex is about to get married," my friend said, making me choke on my Americano.

I started coughing as my face turned crimson red. I just wanted to cough continuously as I didn't want to hold a discussion about my ex. Nevertheless, I knew my friend Greevi wouldn't leave me alone.

Greevi patted my back gently, her concern evident in her eyes. "Are you okay?" she asked, her voice soft with sympathy.

"I'm fine," I gave her a reassuring smile before wiping my mouth using the back of my hand. Then I drank some water to wet my dry, aching throat.

"No, Greevi. I won't leave it alone," I shook my head firmly. "I have a plan in my mind. With that plan, he'll come crawling to my feet."

Greevi raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What's your plan?" she asked, leaning in closer, eager to hear the details.

"Can I trust you?" I hesitated for a while.

"Of course, you can trust me. I'm here for you, no matter what," Greevi assured me, her expression serious yet supportive.

"Okay. It's like this," I clicked my tongue. "I'll find another man and will get engaged to him. He must be rich though. Then, I'll upload my photos on Insta. I swear Tim will be hella jealous! I can already imagine it," I giggled.

"That's... quite the strategy," Greevi remarked, trying to stifle a laugh. "But are you sure it's a good idea?"

"Why not?" I looked at her daringly. "But the tough part is... I have to find someone suitable."

Greevi nodded thoughtfully. "Finding the right person might take some time, but I believe in you," she said with a supportive smile. "Just make sure whoever you choose is someone you genuinely like and who treats you well."

"No," I shook my head again. "I just want Tim back. That's it."

"Tim, that clumsy idiot still loves me to death," I stated confidently. "He found another girl to make me feel jealous."

"But if he truly loves you, why did he move on?" Greevi asked gently, searching for answers alongside me.

"Shut up," I rolled my eyes. "You don't need to meddle in my business."

"Okay, okay, I'm just worried about you, that's all," Greevi said, backing off slightly. "But if this is what you want to do, I'll support you."

"By the way..." She bit her lip and reluctantly asked, "I was wondering for a long time... Why did you dump him?"

"Because he was poor," I answered without batting an eye. "But now... He's super duper rich. I didn't expect him to become so rich in such a short time. I really regret dumping him."

"I see," Greevi said softly, her eyes reflecting sympathy for both me and Tim. "Well, it sounds like you have a lot to think about."

"What do you mean?" I raised a brow at her.

"I mean, you have to decide what you truly want," Greevi explained. "Is it Tim's wealth that you're after, or is it something deeper than that? Only you can answer that question."

"Duh! Who can live without money? Obviously not me!"

"Money is important, but so is love and happiness," Greevi said gently. "Just make sure you're not sacrificing one for the other."

"Money can give me everything," with that, I stood up to leave.

"Just be careful what you wish for," Greevi called after me softly, knowing that sometimes the things we desire can come with unexpected consequences.

"I heard your conversation," I stopped in my tracks when I heard that magnetic male voice.

I turned around slowly, my heart racing as I faced the source of the voice. It was Tim, looking more handsome than ever, with a hint of sadness in his eyes.

"Tim..." I whispered, unsure of what to say.

"You are a dumb woman," he rolled his eyes. "You'll never learn your lesson." Then he let out a sigh. "I'm just... Sad."

I felt a pang of guilt at his words, realizing the pain I had caused him. "I'm sorry, Tim," I said softly, my voice filled with regret. "I made a mistake, but I'm here now. Can we talk?"

"No," he directly refused, making me feel embarrassed as others around us lifted their heads to look at me. "You are a gold digger. I love my innocent Freya. She's not like you."

"Then where is she?" I huffed. "Why are you alone here?"

He clicked his tongue. "We had an argument. It's common between couples. You don't need to bother about my love life."

Feeling a mix of frustration and regret, I nodded, understanding his boundaries. "I won't interfere," I promised, my voice barely above a whisper. "But if you ever need someone to talk to, I'll be here." With that, I turned and walked away, feeling the weight of my mistakes heavy on my shoulders.

"I think you should stop thinking about me," I heard him say behind me. "I hope you'll find a good person."

"No, thanks," I said loudly with my back facing him.

"No matter what, I won't come to you ever again," he said again, making my blood boil. "So it's useless to make me feel jealous because I won't!"

I clenched my fists, the sting of his words cutting deep. Swallowing hard, I forced myself to keep walking, determined to prove him wrong, even if it meant finding happiness on my own terms.

Then I found Ryan in a nightclub. Muscles, strength, beauty, riches, he had everything I ever wanted. Still, I only wanted to make Timothy jealous, using Ryan as my puppet.

As I approached Ryan, I couldn't deny the attraction I felt towards him, but I knew deep down that my intentions were not pure. Ignoring the nagging feeling of guilt in the pit of my stomach, I put on my best smile and struck up a conversation, determined to execute my plan to make Tim jealous.

Ryan was a playboy. But when he saw me, he left all his girls in the club and danced with me only.

I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction as Ryan's attention shifted solely to me, confirming my belief in my ability to captivate men. Despite knowing his reputation, I couldn't deny the thrill of being the center of his attention.

'Tim, eat this.' Although my Tim wasn't there, I thought proudly in my mind.

As I danced with Ryan, I couldn't shake the thought of Tim from my mind. Despite my efforts to move on and make him jealous, a part of me still longed for his presence, his warmth, his love. But for now, I pushed those thoughts aside, focusing instead on the excitement of the moment with Ryan.
