Akshara as promised to her Dada ji was returning home after submitting her project. She was delighted as the teacher gave her full marks on it. Her heart was dancing with pleasure.

After talking to her Dada ji felt light as if a huge burden was lifted off her heart. The smile never left her face as she walked through the corridors of her school with her bag hanging on her shoulder.

The day had gone well for her so far and she wished to keep it the same way. As she was about to step out of the corridor, her eyes fell on a familiar figure walking towards her with a pile of books.

"Ye yahan kaise?" She muttered to herself as she looked at Akarsh who was talking to his friend while holding the pile of books properly. Akshara cursed her stars which always led her to an awkward situation.

"Nikal le yahan se Akshara beta isse pehle iski nazar me aaye," Akshara said lowly to herself, as she felt Akarsh coming closer to her. She was about to turn to the other side and walk off but she saw Akarsh wave at her," Hey Akshara!"

Akshara tried to ignore him but it felt like his voice held some power that had halted her steps. She groaned in frustration when Akarsh covered the few feet of distance between them.

"Tum Akshara hi hona?" Akarsh asked with a hint of subtle fun in his voice as he received no reply from Akshara. Akshara gave him a tight-lipped smile speaking, "Nhi".

Akarsh looked at her confused but then he caught sight of her irritation which reflected itself on her face. " Tum mazak krrr rhi ho na?" He asked again with a nervous smile on his face.

"Shuruwat kisne ki?" Akshara folded her hands to her chest and gave Akarsh a tight-lipped smile. Akarsh was stunned at the attitude she had. He wanted to speak something but the words weren't forming. Her attitude was in total contrast to what it was yesterday.

"Akshu... I am mean Akshara," Akshara noticed as Akarsh again corrected himself like he did yesterday.  She interrupted him in between," Ek baat btao tum mujhe baar baar Akshu kyu bulate ho? Zyada hi close nhi smjhte ho tum khud ko mujhse?"

She taunted him, while Akarsh who had enough of her attitude kept his hands on his sides as he gave her a pissed look. "Close hoon tabhi smjhta hoon" He spoke in his heavy voice as he stood at his intimidating height.

"Huh!" Akshara looked at him confused. The first thought that crossed her mind was-ye pagal ho gya h kya?. "Excuse me," She said showing her palm to him.
"Hum kal mile aur tum mujhse close ho gye?" She scoffed.

Akarsh shook his head while turning it to the other side to hide the faint line smile forming on his lips. He bit the inside of his cheek to stop himself from chuckling at the fact. He shook her head thinking- The girl was really unaware.

Akshara looked at him with furrowed eyes, with confusion clear on her face. Akarsh noticed it through his side eye as he turned towards her taking a step forward. Akshara startled at his sudden action took a step back but stopped when Akarsh leaned toward her to match her height.

Akshara couldn't help but find herself again lost in the familiarity of his presence. Akarsh spoke in a soft yet low voice," Yahi toh problem h Akshu, hum kab mile ye aapko yaad hi nhi h".

The direct eye contact between the two, made Akshara take another step back as her mind flashed some blurry incidents. The experiences felt so real that she couldn't help but close her eyes to stop her mind from entering into a false vacuum of memories.
