Looking into my vanity mirror, I fixed my cheer bow in my hair making sure it was centered. There was a basketball game after school, we were going against our biggest rivals tonight.

"Mmtch." I sucked my teeth, whining frustratingly, stomping my feet a little about to cry because it wasn't coming out right.

It's already too fucking early for this shit. I don't got time for my hair to not be cooperating on top of it all.

"Come in" I said turning to the door slightly, the knock ended. The door opened, revealing my dad.

"Babygirl you ready? Ya momma said come eat." He asked as he stood there eating bacon off of his plate.

I sighed in frustration before answering, "My hair isn't coming out right and I'm two seconds away from getting back in my damn bed" I said scrunching up my lip pulling the bow out completely.

He shook his head, knowing that I was just speaking out of frustration, not meaning to curse while speaking with him.

"Watch y'a mouth Paris for real. Come get y'a momma ta help you put it in" he told me, he opened my door wider signaling for me to come out.

I got up walking downstairs. The smell of bacon, eggs as well as blueberry pancakes, filled the air the closer I got to the bottom.

Walking into the kitchen, my mom stood cooking breakfast as my older brother, Jayceon, sat at the island on his phone eating his breakfast slowly.

"Ma can you please put my bow in, I'm bout to give up" I asked her kind of dramatically as I held out the bow. I don't know why, but whenever my hair isn't looking right my day goes terrible.

Actually, I don't know why I lied. I'm very spoiled by all the men in my life. My dad, my brother, my uncles, my grandad. They quite literally give me anything I want.

My dad pays for all my hair appointments, so whenever my hair isn't done, I feel like everything is about to end.

My mom giggled, knowing fully that I was being dramatic right now. They were all used to my antics by now though. In my mind I wasn't being dramatic though, I was literally having a crisis. She quickly dried her hands taking the bow from me.
