Hello Everyone!

I'm slapping a quick note here at the beginning because I have something to say and I don't want to ruin the ending of the chapter by making you read an a/n after it. So -

I hope you all have enjoyed Book 3! I had so much fun with it and I'm so excited for Book 4!It may be a few days before the first chapter is posted - so, don't worry if it's not up right away. I want to give a little bit of time for Book 3 to sink in and feel complete - also, I just need a little break, as I have contracted some sort of illness, lol. I'm going to be chipping away at new chapters for a hot minute and will probably write a couple of them up before I post so I can be a little ahead.

That's all! Thanks for the love! Thanks for the comments! Thanks to everyone who loves Ellie as much as I do! And I'll see you very soon in Book 4!

~ Erin :))))

"Get up!"

Hermione was tugging on Ellie's sleeve, staring at her watch.

"Harry, we've got exactly ten minutes to get back down to the Hospital Wing without anybody seeing us - before Dumbledore locks the door -"

"Okay," said Harry, wrenching his gaze from the sky. "Come on, let's go. . ."

Anyone watching would've thought Ellie weighed a ton, by the way Harry and Hermione struggled to lift her to her feet. Her sneakers were dragging on the stone underneath her as her friends slipped though a doorway behind them and down a tightly spiraling stone staircase. As they went, Ellie left a trail of dirt and debris behind her.

"I want to go back outside, 's too hot in here -"

Harry clapped a hand over Ellie's mouth as they reached the bottom of the staircase. There were other voices. They flattened themselves against the wall as best they could and listened. Whoever it was, was walking quickly along the corridor at the foot of the staircase.

". . . only hope Dumbledore's not going to make difficulties. The Kiss will be performed immediately?"

"As soon as Macnair returns with the dementors. This whole Black affair has been highly embarrassing. I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to informing the Daily Prophet that we've got him at last. . . I daresay they'll want to interview you, Snape. . . and once young Harry's back in his right mind, I expect he'll want to tell the Prophet exactly how you saved him. . ."

"Why's Fudge love Harry so much?" Ellie mumbled though Harry's fingers, making him press harder down on her mouth.

Cornelius Fudge and Professor Snape passed the hiding place and their footsteps died away. Harry and Hermione waited a few moments to make sure they'd really gone, then started to run in the opposite direction. Down one staircase, then another, along a new corridor - then Ellie mumbled again, smiling, as a cackle sounded ahead.

"Uh ohhhh - Peevesey Weavsey," she hummed in amusement. "Hey - where are we going?"

Harry and Hermione tore into a deserted classroom to their left just in time. Peeves seemed to be bouncing along the corridor in tearing spirits, laughing his head off.

"Oh, he's horrible," whispered Hermione, her ear to the door. "I bet he's all excited because the dementors are going to finish Sirius. . ." She checked her watch again. "Three minutes, Harry!"
