I wake up and sling my legs over my bed. I yawn and stretch my arms in the air.

The loudspeaker chimes. "All new soldiers please report to the transport bay in ten minutes." I get up and get ready.

We ride in trucks over to a supplies warehouse.

A male superior looks at us. "Alright! Today we are going to pass out supplies to people and load trucks to go to other neighborhoods. Get started." I walk over to my station. We start grabbing bags off the platforms and throwing them to others.

Chaga looks at me and sighs. "So we pass the first stage of training and this is our reward. Glamorous." I chuckle.

The superior comes up to me. "Go grab one of those boxes of canned goods. We are running low."

I nod. "Yes sir." When I bend down I am blinded by a light. I look up and see someone signaling me with a mirror. I frown and tilt my head. The mirror is moved away. I look around and walk towards the stack of boxes where it's coming from. Someone grabs my arm yanking me behind them. I gasp. A hand covers my mouth. I look into the man's eyes. He smiles. "Dad?" I hug him.

He sighs. "Oh, my girl." He kisses my cheek.

I frown. "Dad, what are you doing here?"

He sighs releasing me. "I knew they'd assign you here so I came." He grabs my face. "God look at you! You are so strong and beautiful."

I smile then sigh. "Dad you cant be here."

He nods. "I know but I had to make sure you and Little Duck were ok. Is she hidden and safe?" I nod. "Ok well, stage two of training is where you are both at risk more. They are going to get inside your head and watch how you respond to fear but you can pass. You can suppress those memories of her. I have seen it."

I frown. "How do you know?"

He shakes his head. "Nevermind that. You can not let them know where she is."

"Wait did you have to do this too?"

He sighs. "Listen..."

A superior comes around the corner. "Hey!" I look at him. "What are you doing?" I turn my head back to my dad but he's gone. I look back at the man. "The trucks are loaded. Let's go." He walks away. I stand there thinking for a bit.

Suppress the memories of Lucy? How the hell do I do that?

I sigh and walk back to the trucks.
