Moonlight Winter Walk

Summary: Bucky takes you on a moonlit winter walk and kisses you.

"Come on Y/n!" called Bucky who was standing outside your door. 

"Yeah yeah, hang on" you teased, grabbing your jacket and gloves.

Bucky had made up his mind he was going to take you out on a romantic 'walk in the woods' and ask you to officially be his girl but he wanted it to be somewhat of a surprise. 

You were outdoorsy and walking in the woods was right up your alley, but this walk, it was going to be done on snowshoes because it was freaking February. You had only been out on a handful of  simple coffee dates with the super soldier, so things were still new and exciting with the both of you. 

You hadn't even kissed him yet!

You told Bucky you did this when you were younger in Canada, but you never thought Bucky would plan a date a few days after you mentioned it, but he was excited, and you both had the evening off. 

Bucky had gotten two pairs of snowshoes and was nervous to do this activity with you. Not for the physical part of it, but he was nervous you wouldn't want anything more than a few dates with him and to only be his friend. He wanted you as more than a friend and was determined he was going to do things right. 

It was going to be a nice night, calm, no wind, and a light layer of fresh fluffy snow had just fallen the previous night, making it the perfect night for a romantic stroll in the woods by the compound.

"Hey" 

You opened your door and kissed his cheek. 

He blushed a little as he walked you down the hall to the elevator. He was bundled up like a yeti as you saw his face poking out from under his toque, scarf, and jacket. 

"You going to be, ok?" you asked, and he nodded, or at least you thought he nodded because of the layers. 

"You know it's like zero outside and nice out? Can you even move dressed like that?" 

"I can!" he shrugged. You both made your way out of the elevator and into the lobby of the compound. 

"OK"

Truth was, he hated the cold. For being frozen for so long, he wanted nothing to do with being cold, but when you told him about your past snowshoeing adventures, he had to take you. 

You saw a backpack and two pairs of snowshoes leaning up against the wall as you smiled when you approached the gear. 

"Nice job Barnes" 

"Only the best for my girl" he replied

It was your turn to blush a little. He was so old fashioned at times, but you didn't mind. 

He grabbed the backpack and your hand and you both walked outside.

You walked out and took in the brisk chill of the air and headed towards the woods on the outskirts of the compound. You proceeded to put on the snowshoes and helped Bucky attach his. 

"Careful" 

He wobbled a little while he stood. 

"You have to walk big, lift your legs up then step big or you'll stumble and trip"
