"DID HE KNOW ANYTHING?!"

Panicked, I quickly nodded in denial.

"Alright then. You got your visit. Now head down to studio 1."
Valentino immediately calmed down as if nothing happened.

"Y-Yes, daddy..."

Poor Angel dust...
...if I get out of here, I'll never complain about his explicit jokes ever again.

He looked at me from behind his shoulder, and quickly signalled me something.
Paper, writing, NO. 3V.
I think it's something along the lines of never to sign a paper from the Vees.

Is this how he got to his current situation...?

"The fucker sure is taking his time,"
Vox entered the room.
"Maybe you are not as important to him as you thought."

Maybe it's better this way.

Why did I even do this?
Out of the blue, no actual plan.
Because I was scared of forgiving?
Forgetting?
Falling in love?

"Ugh. What are we going to do with them after we kill him?"
Vox talked as if I was nothing.

"Ohh! I'm definitely taking them with me later. They can go through twice the clients a day!"
Valentio announced cheerfully.
I was deeply horrified.

"Seriously? I thought you only hired pretty ones."

"It's not like coma ones are easy to find."
Valentino defended.

Coma?

"Oh, look! They didn't know."
Vox laughed at my confusion.

"Come on, we've got better things to do."
The two left, laughing at me as if I was a complete idiot.

Coma...

Oh I'M STUPID.

The red monitor lines all over me, the sleepless nights... ugh. Should've asked someone about it.

Still can't remember WHAT led me to that state, though.

I kept staring blankly at nothing.

The dark nothing.

The room was small, that's for sure.

I couldn’t even figure out what the walls were made of.
If there are any.

I don't think anyone will come for me.

I'll spend my days rotting here or in that monster's studio...

Huh.
Suddenly Alastor isn't THE monster.

I should've agreed to join him.

Do broadcasts together again.

Forget everything.

Start anew.

So what if he used to be a murderer?

He was always good to me.

Maybe I should have been nicer.

Yes?

No?

...

I think I'm starting to lose it completely.

The mix of feelings is overwhelming.

I haven’t ate or drank anything for a long while.

What time is it?

The only thing that kept me sane enough was the occasional coughing of the guard.

...

It was quiet.

It missed a cough.

Huh?

I looked around to where the guard was supposed to be.

It wasn't there.

My breath hitched when I heard the Vox-tec camera smashing.

"Ssssssssh, I've got you."

He...

He's got me...?

...
It all came back to me all the sudden.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I've got you, I've got you..."
He chuckled in a sinister manner.
The smile never left his face.
I was frozen, horrified, as he looked down at me, holding my head steady.
"Good, stay quiet. Nothing to see here..."
He kept holding my face, he didn't let me look at my surroundings. Not the corpses, not the dogs he took down. I didn't know what happened to dad.
The dogs did a large number on him, though. No doubt he was losing some blood himself.
"Oh, dear... what a mess..."
Alastor giggled.
He sounded mad.
I never saw him like that.
He wiped my tears with bloody fingers.
"How are we going to fix that...?
What am I going to do with you...?"
My eyes widened even more.
"No, no, dear... I won't kill you now...
I didn't kill you back then, at the pub, like I planned..."
He... what...?
"Shhhh... don't think. Just rest, okay?
We will wake up tomorrow and broadcast as usual. And you will be amazing as always. Naming these missing people, not remembering what you saw today, deal?"
I kept staring at him.
My heart was beating like crazy.
"I am so sorry you had to see that...
Hell, I am surprised I managed to hide this from you for THIS long.
The truth is... that I've wanted to share this passion with you for a while now. I took a liking to you. I think you did, too."
His grin widened even more.
"Oh, my apologies, dear. Is that too soon to ask? ...well, it's not like you weren't unknowingly helping me here and there..."
He hissed in pain when he moved.
"These... blasted dogs..."
He stood up.
"I better... clear up some things..."
Alastor, though injured, still found some power in him to roll the bodies into the pit he dug.
I tried moving when his back was turned, but I was in so much pain.
I think I was hurt by the dogs in all the hassle.
Alastor started picking up big stones with blood on them, throwing them into the pit, too.
As he picked one up next to my head, sending me a warm smile, we heard rustling in the bushes.
"Oh, would you look at that. The old man's somehow still alive."
Dad?
...I couldn't find the power to talk.
"You... bustered... YOU KILLED MY KID!"
I was in too much pain to show any signs of life.
"Now, now, calm down. No need to be hasty..."
"I've killed DEERS more HUMAN than YOU with this gun. Burn in hell."
A gunshot rang.
The heavy stone dropped.
"Y/N!"
