Chance’s POV
After texting Caleb, I put the GPS into the Audi R8. Following the directions I head towards the Law Firm, the Firm was on the outskirts of Miami. I walk in seeing a pretty receptionist named Katie,
“Good morning, may I help you?” I had to softly chuckle,
“Good morning to you as well. i'm Chance, Caleb’s son. He's expecting me.” Katie smiles, picks up the phone placing a call.
“Hello Robin, Chance Morgan is here to see Mr. Morgan.” Katie seems to be quiet for a few moments, as she was listening to the person on the line. Then she says,
“Thank you Robin, i'll let him know.” After Katie hangs up, she gives me a warm smile.
“Robin Mr. Morgan's PA will be here in a few moments to escort you to his office.” I nod, stepping a short distance away for the receptionist to continue her work. Then a beautiful woman of color appeared in front of me with a smile.
“Are you Chance Morgan?” I nod with a smile, receiving a smile in return. Then she motions me to follow her,
“Yes, i'm Chance, are you Robin?” The woman nods with a warm smile, as she starts to escort me to Caleb's office.
“Yes, i'm Robin, your father is waiting for you along with Mr. Morris. I'm delighted that you were found. We really felt the loss here.” I couldn’t believe what I was hearing,
“Sounds like everyone here is very close.” Robin chuckles as we walk,
“The partners and core staff have been together for years. We watched Catlin and Drake grow up, We would of watched you as well. So we're delighted to see you reunited with your family.” I had to smile, we continue the walk in quiet. She knocks on the door, I see Caleb and Grant look up. Caleb smiles at us,
“Come in.” I quietly walk in, sitting at the table where they were. Robin speaks up,
“Would the three of you enjoy some refreshments?” Caleb looks at Grant and me,
“Would the two of you like something to drink?” Grant clears his throat,
“I would a coffee, I know Robin knows how I like it. Chance?” I nod, looking at Robin.
“May I have a soda?” Robin smiles,
“Yes, we have Pepsi, root beer, Sprite. Would you like ice or no?” I smile back at her,
“Pepsi, with ice please and thank you.” Robin nods, leaving the office to fix the drinks. Caleb glances over at me, with a small smile.
“How was your first night in my home?” I look down, taking a deep breath.
“It was great! i'm at peace about being here.”
Then there was a knock on the door, Robin enters the office with two coffees and a Pepsi with ice. Then she leaves, close the door behind her. I look over at both Caleb and Grant, as I spoke again.
“I had a long talk with Hailey last night. I guess she thought that she needs to be our ears and eyes.” Caleb smirks, as he says.
“I would of never thought of Hailey's the type to be a wild card that she is. I have to say I was surprised that she went to Catlin with her concerns. They figured a lot of it out, before Catlin approached me.” I nod, as I take a drink of my Pepsi.
“They're smart, i'll say that. i'm proud of them. What Hailey told me last night, I thought you needed to know.” Caleb gives me a warm smile,
“What did she hear, son?” **
