Jungkook returned home with a heavy heart, the weight of sadness evident in his eyes. As he entered, he found his mom, Mrs. Jeon, had just returned from his aunt's home. To his surprise, his cousin Jennie accompanied her, radiating sweetness.
Mrs. Jeon: "Jungkook, where were you? We were waiting for you."
Jungkook (with a forced smile): "I went to get some groceries for us."
He handed his mom the bag of groceries, hoping to distract her from the sadness that lingered within him. Mrs. Jeon appreciated the effort and went to unpack the groceries.
Jungkook (hesitatingly): "Yeah, just had a rough day."
As they settled in the living room, Jungkook thought of welcoming them with delicious ice cream. However, the plan soured in his mind as he recalled the upsetting sight at the ice cream parlor.
Jungkook (trying to hide his disappointment): "I thought of getting some ice cream for everyone, but I guess we can skip that today."
Jennie (perceptive): "Jungkook, what's wrong? You seem off."
Jungkook (glancing away): "It's nothing. Just a bad day."
Mrs. Jeon (sensing the need for a change in atmosphere, suggested): "Why don't you two go and spend some time together? I'll start preparing lunch."
Jungkook (and Jennie exchanged a glance, and then Jungkook nodded in agreement): "Sure, Mom. We'll be in my room."
