𝐒𝐲𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐦 𝐇𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐨𝐝. That was the destination for the case two nights later. It took just over an hour to get there, with the taxi to the station in Marylebone and then the train ride itself to Sydenham Hill station. On the train, George had brought along key parts of the research book (none of the stories of the past few weeks) and they had all been reading through them again and planning their method of work tonight.

Well, more like arguing.

"Ant, do you have any idea how ridiculous that plan sounds?" Carolynne asked as she leaned against the window, the trees flying past her. "There's no way. It would be easier to send me and Lucy in to find the source, job done."

"Care, as leader I need to asses what we're dealing with first hand." Lockwood argued as he folded the lined paper in half and passed it to George, "we've never dealt with this kind of thing before so as team leader I am under full obligation to go in first."

"Lockwood, are you hearing yourself right now?" Lucy asked, dumbfounded, "like actually hearing yourself?"

"I'll come with you," George spoke up as he closed his kit bag and put it back on the floor by his feet.

Lockwood opened his mouth to argue but Lucy quickly agreed, "great, that settles it. What do you think, Lynne?"

"Great idea George because there is no way anyone is going in alone," Carolynne said simply. "When you've had your scope, come out so me and Lucy can go in."
