𝐀𝐬 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐣𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 the team of Lockwood and Co had received with it. Things had been going well the past few weeks, Carolynne's stitches were out and she was pain free, so was Lockwood and he no longer had to have pain medication to help him walk.

They'd opened their doors again and business was great, they were finally getting the recognition of their skills that they deserved. At the moment, jobs were just trickling in and it gave them a chance to do heavy research on them before stepping foot onto the haunted grounds with their kit in hand.

It was a late night when Carolynne walked down the steps to the basement. The fact that she'd barely touched a rapier in almost three weeks was driving her insane. Maybe that's what drove her down to the basement, the familiar feeling of the rapier tight in her grip. She'd left Lucy and George upstairs presumably asleep in their rooms and Lockwood sitting in the library reading his newest magazine.

Alas, after a while, Lockwood had crept down the stairs without alerting the girl and once he got close enough to her he grabbed one of her hips and spun her around to face him. Their rapiers collided and a smirk made it's way onto both of their faces as they backed up.
