𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐰𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐚 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧, no one thought it would lead them to be standing in the elevator of the Fairfax building. Carolynne and Lucy stood either side of Lockwood and George was standing on the other side of Carolynne, the boy wore a deadpanded face as his attention drew to Lockwood, "so your big radical plan, is a job at Fairfax Iron for work we can't legally do?"

"George, this negativity," the familiar smile made another appearance on Lockwood's lips, "it's why I don't tell you things in advance."

Carolynne crossed her arms playfully with a scowl that was moments from becoming a smile, "and what about me?"

He gave her a wink, "I love surprising you."

When Lucy took the newspaper from him, he rested his hands awkwardly on his belt, Carolynne was worried that the pressure he was putting on it would cause it to pushed down further than he would have preferred it to rest.

"Agents required for unusual supernatural investigation. Money commensurate with danger," Lucy read out the box Lockwood had circled, "I'm guessing that means a lot of danger?"

"Better be at least sixty grands worth," George mumbled before the elevator doors opened and a group of people filed in in front of the teens and pushing them further into the back wall.
