𓆗 AMELIA 𓆗

━━✦❘༻༺❘✦━━

I frantically searched through the manor, trying to find Aston.

I checked every room in the manor, but he was nowhere to be found. Finally, I remembered that he often liked to retire to the library. It was his favorite place to relax.

My heart eased a little as I made my way to the library. The sound of his low chuckle caught my attention, and I quickly peeked inside.

There he was, sitting in one of the plush armchairs, his long legs crossed elegantly. He had a book in his hand, but his eyes were fixed on the figure lounging on the neighboring chair - a stunning red-headed vampire who was known to be quite promiscuous.

My heart sank. I had been hoping to find Aston alone and maybe spend some quality time with him. But as usual, he was caught up in the charms of another.

I cleared my throat, trying to get his attention. Aston's head snapped up, and his face lit up with a smile when he saw me.

"Amelia, love. What a pleasant surprise! I didn't expect to see you here," Aston said, setting his book down on the small table beside him.

"I've been looking for you everywhere. I was worried that something happened to you" I huffed, trying to mask my disappointment.

"Oh, my apologies. I lost track of time. This lovely lady was telling me all about her recent exploits in the human world," Aston said, gesturing to the red-headed vampire.

I forced a smile and resisted the urge to roll my eyes. "Ah, how fascinating. Well, I should let you two get back to your conversation then," I said, turning to leave.

But he reached out and pulled me onto his lap, his arms wrapping around my waist possessively.

"No, no. You must join us. We were just discussing the latest vampire jokes," he said with a wicked gleam in his eyes.

I looked at her, and feeling kinda jealous I turned to Aston kissing him passionately. As our lips moved in sync, I couldn't help but wonder about this red-headed vampire and her exploits in the human world. But before I could voice my curiosity, Aston pulled away and laughed.

"What's so funny?" I asked, still feeling a bit miffed.

"Oh, just a little vampire joke," he said, grinning mischievously.

I raised an eyebrow, waiting for him to continue. Aston cleared his throat and began, "Why do vampires hate arguments?"

I rolled my eyes, expecting a lame punchline. "I don't know, why?"

"Because they don't like to argue with anyone who has a stake in the matter," he said, winking at the red-headed vampire.

I couldn't help but laugh at the cheesy joke. The red-headed vampire joined in, her laughter ringing through the room.

Feeling more at ease, I decided to contribute to the joke-telling. "Okay, here's one: Why did the vampire go to therapy?"

"Why?" asked Aston, already chuckling.

"Because he wanted to become a bat-ter version of himself," I said, giggling at my own pun.

Both Aston and the red-headed vampire burst out laughing, and for a moment, I forgot about my jealousy.

As our laughter echoed through the library, the women joined in, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Well, well, Amelia, you certainly have a talent for vampire humor."
