𓆗 AMELIA 𓆗

━━✦❘༻༺❘✦━━

As we were sitting in our room, Isolde suddenly turned to me with a mischievous glint in her eyes.

"Amelia, have you ever thought about getting a pair of contacts to hide your human eyes?" she asked slyly.

I raised an eyebrow, knowing that vampires couldn't wear contacts due to their heightened senses.

"Why would I do that?" I replied, already sensing where this was going.

"Because, you would fit in better with us then," she said with a wide grin.

I couldn't help but laugh at her joke.

As I chuckled at Isolde's joke, I couldn't help but shake my head.

"As much as I would love to blend in with you all, I don't think contacts would do the trick," I replied, still amused by her suggestion.

Isolde pouted playfully and feigned offense. "What do you mean? You have the pale skin, the dark hair, and the red lips. You could pass for one of us if it weren't for those pesky human eyes, besides no one has tow different eye colors as you"she teased, nudging me with her elbow.

Her words made me smile, but at the same time, they reminded me of my place in this mansion.

I would never truly belong in this world of immortal beings.

Sensing my mood shift, Isolde's playful expression softened. "I'm just teasing, Amelia. You know we love you just the way you are," she said, placing a comforting hand on my shoulder.

I couldn't help but feel grateful for it.

Isolde, the vampire with blond hair and red eyes, didn't always live this way. Long ago, she was a regular person in a small village, enjoying a simple life filled with art and color.

One night, vampires attacked her village, led by a tough elder named Lord Dracon. Isolde's family, skilled artists, caught the vampires' interest. To save her family, Isolde agreed to serve Lord Dracon, not realizing the dark life that awaited her.

Under Lord Dracon's rule, Isolde learned about vampire politics and power struggles. She used her artistic talents to please her vampire masters but yearned for her old life. Her striking looks and cleverness attracted attention, both envy, and interest.

As time passed, Isolde navigated vampire society, secretly supporting rebellious vampires who opposed the oppressive regime. One night, a mysterious vampire offered her a chance to escape. Isolde seized it, embracing a new life as a free-spirited vampire.

Now in the vampiric mansion, Isolde brought laughter and brightness to the once-dark halls.

As we sat in silence for a moment, Isolde suddenly had a mischievous glint in her eyes again. "But on a serious note, have you ever thought about turning into a vampire?" she asked, her tone turning serious.

I froze at her question. It was something that had crossed my mind before, but I had never really considered it seriously. Becoming a vampire meant leaving behind everything I knew and loved, including my family. And I wasn't sure if I was ready to make that sacrifice.

Besides I think I would like to have my own child and being a vampire I think it's not possible.

Isolde must have seen the hesitation in my eyes as her expression softened once again.

"I know it's a big decision, Amelia. But you know we would welcome you into our family with open arms, right?" she said, her voice filled with sincerity.

I nodded.

But turning into a vampire was a life-changing decision, one that I couldn't make lightly.

As I entered the room, that me and Aston share now, he turned to face me, his striking features etched with a small smile. I couldn't help but smile back, feeling a sense of warmth wash over me at the sight of him.

"Good evening," I said, curtseying slightly.

"Good evening, love,"Aston replied, his eyes flickering over me appreciatively. "You look ravishing as always."

"Thank you, darkling," I said, feeling my cheeks flush.

Aston gestured for me to sit across from him at the ornate dining table. As I took my seat, he poured me a glass of red wine. I was always amazed at how easily he could move around in the darkness, without even knocking over a single glass.

We fell into our usual pattern of conversation, discussing the events of the day and other trivial matters. But I couldn't shake off the burning question at the back of my mind.

Finally, mustering up all my courage, I asked, "Aston, I have been wondering... what do you think of me becoming one as vampire?"

Aston paused, setting down his glass. His expression turned serious as he leaned forward, lacing his fingers together.

"Amelia, my love," he said, his voice gentle yet firm. "I fell in love with you for who you are, not for what you may become. But if you choose to become a vampire, I will support you and guide you through the transition."

I felt a rush of relief wash over me as I smiled at him. "Thank you. I don't think I could ever go through this without you by my side."

Aston smiled back, his eyes sparkling. "Of course. I will always be here for you."

As we finished dinner, I couldn't resist making a joke. "So, Master, will I have to start drinking blood for dinner now?"

Aston chuckled, his eyes lighting up in amusement. "Only if you want to, my love. But I assure you, I can still make a mean chicken dish."

We both laughed, the tension from our earlier conversation dissipating. Being with Aston always brought a sense of ease and comfort, even in the midst of my uncertainties.

"Goodnight, Aston," I said, turning to face him.

"Goodnight, Amelia," he replied, leaning down to place a gentle kiss on my forehead. "Sleep well, love."

I may be a human, but to Aston, I was so much more. And that was all that mattered.
