A little information;
This is my first-ever story idea to make it this far, I hope you enjoy it the way I have while writing and brainstorming this. With that being said anyone who wants to write a story should take a chance, don't worry about other people judging you, not everyone will enjoy your work.

Warnings;
As any story goes this book too has several warnings, please read at your own risk as it is labeled mature. This book includes language, gang, and mafia depictions, and steamy scenes but nothing too detailed, as well as assault, and abandonment. Read at your own risk.

If you don't like the songs you don't have to listen, they're just songs that I listened to or reminded me of this book. Updating Schedule;
When the book is finally released I hope to already have the book done and finished, this doesn't mean the book will be released at one time. The chapters will be released in weekly waves after the first three chapters are released, they are fairly long chapters. While this book is being published I hope to continue to book two and have it completed before the end of "Our Past".
Characters;
The characters are very important and dynamic to my story, with that being said there is a large cast. I've tried to introduce them in waves to make it easier to understand and depict them, some characters are designed to be hateable while others are not. For the sake of my camera roll and creativity sakes only the main characters' aesthetics as made.
Pov;
Each chapter is written from the point of view of a character, the character's name, and mini aesthetics will be shown at the top of the first page. There will only be four points of view that will be shown, but the two main characters will be mainly used.
Language;
Throughout this story there will be some different languages used, mainly Spanish and Italian. The translations of these words and sentences will be shown in the comment section unless it's a commonly repeated word. If that's the case the word will be translated once.

In the future, I'd like to have reviews written in the section, although I want it to be after the majority of the book is published. If you'd like to contribute to the reviews you can DM me on the Instagram account listed at the bottom of every chapter.

We each have memories that will always haunt our past, and make us believe that's who we are. Some are driven to crazy extremes just to try and defy it; maybe I am one of those people myself. In reality, we all have these memories, desires, and regrets and we have to find a way to make it fit us, but we don't all have the willpower to do it.

I once thought that my past made me who I was but, now a piece of me knows without those dark moments I wouldn't had the happy ones that I cherish now.

If you asked twelve-year-old me where I would be in ten years here wouldn't be the answer. I was born and raised in Camorra, Italy with my parents and twin siblings being known as the De Angelo Mafia. Mom never liked the violent scenes but she loved Dad and wanted her children to reach their sixteenth birthday.

So we moved to Chicago, where we currently run one of the most powerful mafias to be reckoned with.

I decided from the day that I started training that I would never fall in love, she changed me for the better.

I grew up fascinated by watching Meredith Grey and Miranda Bailey work their magic onscreen, so much so that I decided to make it my career. Along the way, I met some new friends, reunited with some old ones, and found my soulmate.

I became an ER nurse and later transferred over to become a trauma surgeon after three years, I wouldn't trade this job for anything in the world.

When I was a young boy I lived a harsh life, but I never let my mother know. We lived on the streets until she was later employed by Anniston De Angelo, she became a nurse who was taught by her mother before she passed five years later.

It devastated the family causing a few slip-ups and a new life. I became close with their children Aiden, Nadia, and Grey, and still am to this day.

When I turned eighteen I was offered a job with them and took it without any hesitation.
