We gathered in an empty room full of foldable chairs where sat one of our recruits, whether old or new. This wasn't a very unheard-of communication method that we used both to meet the potential replacements and keep everyone in the loop.

Although it had become quite cloudy over the years, especially as the world around us converted to technology and we stayed the same, it always deterred a lot of people.

Another principle I never understood, I didn't see how if we were very technologically advanced or not, it wouldn't change the pay or experience.

"Welcome everyone, new and returners to our biweekly meeting. This meeting will be our first training session with the newbies and Ivory, this is a great opportunity to better yourself." Hank started.

A cough sounded from in the back as a distant voice began to speak, "You're telling me an incompetent teenager is going to train us for life-or-death situations?" light laughter sounded from around him.

First off, I do not look that young, but I'm not going to deflect a compliment, and secondly competent or not he came here for some assistance.

"I'd like to stop you right there, you don't come into this place on your high horse and expect us to bow down to a nobody. Especially from somebody who looks to be a yellow belt from a junior karate studio, I can do my job perfectly, if you have any concerns take it up to my face." I finish.

The group starts to murmur before Hank interrupts them again, "That rule applies to everyone not just to smart ass back there, to be respected you have to show respect."

"With that being said the following students need to follow me. Dante, Roxanna, Paxton, and Adrianna," I call picking up my pace and walking out of the room while Hank continues.

They follow me towards the training room that's full of work our equipment and a sparring ring before giving them the rundown.

"So as most of you should know this is a dangerous industry so we are going to train like it, which means no messing around or doing anything you wouldn't do in a life-or-death situation." I explain as a girl raises her hand, "Are there any less dangerous things we can do within this organization?" she asks.

"First, you don't have to raise your hand and secondly, we are working on expanding jobs but training will still be the same." she just nods to my answer.

"So any more questions before I continue?" I ask scanning the group as they all shake their head in unison, "Great, let's continue.". For the next hour, I worked on training the two who had never had any professional help and perfecting the other ones.

Well, perfecting one to be exact, would bruise Dante's masculinity to be helped by a girl, the other girls tried but they didn't get far, but success isn't achieved in a day.

Paxton already had decent technique it was just a few technicalities that needed to be fixed, he was by far the strongest recruit. Although I hadn't yet trained or evaluated them on a mental level, just to see how they'd react in a disaster or what their instincts were.
