Top Ten Saddest/Surprising Anime Deaths

{ATTENTION: Before I start I want to warn you that you don't have to agree in everything I said. This is based on my/ and my friends' opinion. So please don't get MAD at me if you're not satisfied with the list.}

{WARNING: Spoiler Alert!! If you haven't watch the following anime then pls. skip this chapter :)}

1. Furukawa Nagisa, Ushio (Clannad)

Never before have I been so emotionally attached to a character in any anime. She is such a sweet and kind girl, she doesn't think much of herself but everyone in the story cared for her a lot. The fact that she died while giving birth to her and Tomoya's daughter is the thing that pushed me over the edge and made me just cry, it was to the point of just seeing her in a flashback or a picture made me start to cry.

2. Menma (Ano Hana)

No words can describe the last episode. Come on! Don't tell me you didn't cry even a little?! Her death was one of the saddest thing I saw! It made me cry like a baby and I'm sure maybe everyone who is reading this also felt the same when they watched the last episode!!

3. Maes Hughes (Fullmetal Alchemist)

This was heart breaking!! It's terrible...the icing on the cake that makes the tears flood every fan's eyes and of course the scenes that follow this one. The Elric brothers finding out, Winry finding out and visiting Hughes' home, of course the worst would be his funeral... Colonel Mustang even cried and don't get me started on how gut wrenching is was watching Elicia cry over them burying him...not even understanding her daddy's gone. T^T

4. Lelouch (Code Geass)

Lelouch died for a purpose and he wanted this. He planned the "Zero Requiem" and asked his own best friend to kill him. And after his death, his own little sister, Nunnally, was crying at him dying and the rest of the people were actually cheering... TT^TT Can you give a more depressing anime death than that?

5. Kamina (Gurren Lagann)

Because Kamina died, my heart is broken forever more. When he said "Believe in yourself who believes in you" I was like "NononononononononononononononoNO!" And nearly stopped watching. But that would've been too sad. If there's any reason Kamina's death is "not so bad" it's that the rest of the anime is about how his friends managed to mend their hearts after his death. BUT THAT'S WHAT THE WHOLE ANIME IS ABOUT- pretty much. So Kamina's death? It's up there.

6. Sayaka Miki (Puella Magi Madoka Magica)

COME ON PEOPLE! There is absolutely nothing sadder than THIS. You have to watch the only 12 episodes of the series to understand the sadness. Sayaka was a beautiful character. However she dies because her Soul Gem was tainted and she did nothing to save herself. It was almost like suicide. Then Kyoko, died trying to save her but ended up having to kill her while killing herself. Very sad. Sayaka is a great character. WAS. I meant... SUCH A SAD DEATH!

7. All Casts (Akagame Kill)

Should I even start explaining every detail I felt when each one of them is starting to die each episode passed? I just can't...it was too surprising!! I just UGH~!!! *starts to cry*

8. Inori (Guilty Crown)

She died just to save the guy she loves...huhuhu...she's such a sweet girl, you know that? At first I thought she wasn't going to die but then...then...it ended like that...This anime is such a masterpiece (for me) since it was really dramatic and full of surprises...And one of it is her death.

9. Enma Ai (Jigoku Shoujo)

Come on...she was only seven (I think) back then! And it was brutal. She was innocent...she just wanted to have some fun like a normal kid and fall in love like a normal girl but...they did that! They did that...not only to her, but also to her parents...It was too unfair and sad...Huhuhu TT^TT

10. Yuuki (Tokyo Magnitude 8.0)

This is one of the surprising deaths out there! I really didn't noticed it until the last minutes of the show...It was heart-breaking since they finally got home but then...he died...why did it have to happen? Ugh! Just...its too sad and surprising!! TTT^TTT
